'Gunfire heard' as Iran police clash with protesters

Iranian security forces have clashed violently with opposition supporters in central Tehran, witnesses say.

Police used batons and tear gas, according to the witnesses. There were also unconfirmed reports of security forces using live rounds.

State media confirmed there had been clashes, though a foreign media ban means details are hard to verify.

The violence came on the day that Iran holds an annual commemoration for the killing of three students in 1953.

Early on Monday, hundreds of Iranian police were reported to have surrounded Tehran University to try to block protests.

Iranian security forces, including the elite Revolutionary Guards, had warned that they would step in to prevent any attempt to use the event to stage opposition protests.

They have cracked down hard on protests following the disputed election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June.

The election led to the largest street protests since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, with thousands arrested and dozens killed.

The government then banned protests, and its opponents began using officially sanctioned demonstrations to turn out in big numbers and publicise their message.

This is a stark lesson why Americans should never, ever let anyone disarm us.

Once we are disarmed, we are subjects.

Iran is the biggest danger threatening World peace at this time. If we let this regime survive, we will live to regret it.

Exactly.

I pray for those voices of dissent to totalitarianism.

They have been ignored by Obama and his lackeys, and they have been ignored by the rest of Western Civilization.

Will anyone of prominence speak up for these people who seek their freedom?

Raila Odinga's favorite cousin identifies with tyrants and dictators before he identifies with Americans.

This is a ‘blueprint’ for the US. Iran banned the internet just prior to this as they want to eliminate, once and for all, the growing resistance to that regime. This is coming.

Today:
EPA announcing Co2 as a public hazard
Health Control still raging
Nazi Pelosi wants to consider a ‘global tax’ on stocks bonds and dividends
Our brave Navy Seals are being court martialed

Anyone still think we are going to make it to the next election?
And they are not letting up.

Once we are disarmed, we are subjects.

We've lost our will to fight, so it's the same thing. We've lost the use of language, the hisory of our people, our heros. We've lost our culture. We have been successfully colonized and lobotomized.

SUBMIT!
