Climategate: Barack Obama's rule by EPA decree is a coup d'etat against Congress, made in Britain
The Telegraph ^ | 12/8/2009 | Gerald Warner

Posted on 12/08/2009 6:28:53 AM PST by markomalley

Who needs tanks on the lawn when you have the Environmental Protection Agency? Barack Obama’s use of the EPA to pressurise the Senate to pass his climate change Nuremberg Decrees shows his dictatorial mentality. He wants to override Congress, which is hostile to his climate gobbledegook because it is representative of the American electorate, and sideline the nation’s elected Senators by ruling by decree, courtesy of the EPA. This is a coup d’état.

And what is the justification for this undemocratic action? The allegedly imminent threat from “Anthropogenic Global Warming”. There is always a supposed threat, when tyrants take the stage. The President of the United States has just reduced his moral authority to the level of any Third World dictator heading a “Government of National Emergency”. Fortunately, the world’s leading democracy, which he is trying to subvert, has guarantees of liberty so deeply embedded in its Constitution that US citizens are well placed to fight back.

(snip)

Obama hates America and, increasingly, that sentiment is being reciprocated. This is a socialist, World Government putsch. Have the American people the resolution to resist it? We shall soon know.

Excellent article!

De-fund the EPA, you will not see this reported here

More proof Obama's alliance is with EU/UN. He needs to be challenged on this.

But what is of compelling interest on this side of the pond is the way in which the bullets to shoot down American democracy were made in Britain.

Yes, that’s right! You’ve got it: from Phil Jones, Michael Mann and the rest of the lads at the CRU, East Anglia.

I always thought that when the EU gained a consolidation of power under the Lisbon treaty that there would be a greater threat to US and the spreading of their agenda.

That was the explicit intent: to eliminate US "hegemony"

You have probaly seen this, but seems to have more weight now.

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. )

from:The Communist Takeover Of America - 45 Declared Goals from 1963

unfortunately many of the other 45 make you go hmmmm

I have a problem with the touchy-feely fighting back that’s being advocated on the Right. At some point even Christ advised that we pick up our swords and fight. When is the next Fort Sumter? These Liberals WILL NOT STOP! They only understand force, as is evidenced by the SEIU thug violence.

Yesterday, a day which will live in infamy, The Untied states was willfully and deliberately attacked by a government agency - the EPA. I hope we go to war over this dastardly deed. The heavy hand of environmental socialism is here.

I believe that next year, I’ll be acquiring a firearm.

If one's good, two must be better.

Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) warned Obama about overstepping on his authority. I hope he gets on this.

Sent to Drudge, hope he runs it , has many articles on Tiger.

I am a recovering Cubs fan. I am optimistic even when I shouldn’t be. Nevertheless, I’m in.

It’s easy to come up with comments for threads about stupid celebrity tricks.

I read things like this and I get frustrated, hopping mad, confused and sometimes wonder why we bother. Its a constant, never ending attack on our freedom and words often fail me.

I suppose I can call my Democratic senators and tell them to just pack up their office as their services are no longer needed?

Already have half a dozen. Still need a shotgun though

How can you own a half dozen firearms, and not own a shotgun?!? That's like bragging about your nifty tool box and not having a hammer in it. I demand that you change your screen name, so as to not defame Rummsfield, until such a time that you redress this unsatisfactory situation!

Of course we know Rummy doesn't need a shotgun, as he would just use the power of his will to make his enemy's heart stop.

One of the best things my High School history teacher required us to do was read the Communist Manifesto. At the time, we all complained. But later we realized the importance of knowing the enemy. Many apparently never got this lesson.

It’s an excelent question. Somehow, and I’m not sure how, we need to act as a unit to kick back these advances of the left. RealID was defeated by state legislatures digging in on unfunded mandates, so the Tenth Amendment movement offers some hope. Then there’s elections. But what of the Edicts of Obama that hurt us in the short term? Litigation? There must be a beter way ...

It is unfortunate that they will force so much unnecessary violence to solve this.

Unbelievable how many people will end up hurt from all of this.

Civil war is coming, prepare your families.

The EPA cannot commit a “coup against Congress” when both the EXISTENCE and SCOPE of EPA are caused by Congress, and EPA does NOTHING that Congress doesn’t (secretly) want done.
