Record Cold Snap Still Grips Bay Area (It's freezing here and we ponder warming)

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Wednesday had the potential to be the coldest day yet as a cold spell held its grip on the Bay Area, a National Weather Service forecaster said.

Forecaster Duane Dykema said Wednesday could top Tuesday, when a number of Bay Area cities saw record low temperatures, as the coldest day of the week.

A freeze warning was in effect Wednesday night into Thursday morning for the North Bay interior valleys, where low temperatures were expected in the 20s.

On Tuesday, San Rafael had a low of 28 degrees, tying the city's previous record for the date set in 1972. The North Bay had some of the lowest recorded temperatures in general, Dykema said, with many areas reaching the low-20s.

Yeah, I’m sure the gang activity is sorely missed. LOL

The weather is generally good here though.

I realize my mention of temperatures is actually warm for most of the country, but the point being that these temperatures are quite told for our area. No GoreBlow Worming here...

Global warming needs to be encouraged right now...in Portland, we haven’t been above freezing 3 days now(at least the 25 mph winds have stopped).

Bragger! Posts like yours make me want to move back to San Diego.

The weather in Southern California is worth a fortune to us...It's Mediterranean like and makes for really good living.

There are only 6 other regions on the planet with similar climatic conditions, and Southern California is one of them.

The Orange trees are loaded and flowers all blooming!

More proof that the sun is the dominant factor in earth’s temperature changes.

“Sun Goes Longer Than Normal Without Producing Sunspots”

“ScienceDaily (June 9, 2008) — The sun has been lying low for the past couple of years, producing no sunspots and giving a break to satellites.”

But the AP just published a story saying that 2000 - 2009
is the warmest decade in recorded history.

Yeah, on the home planet of the AP, MSM, and the warmist climate “scientists”.

“There are only 6 other regions on the planet with similar climatic conditions, and Southern California is one of them.”

Let me try.

Australia, Chile, South Africa, Mediterranean basin.

Dry summer, mild winter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean_climate

The areas are similar, but not identical. For example here on the Pacific Coast, the pattern is the same from the northern Baja coast to San Francisco, but getting cooler as you go north.

I was traveling through a hilly area today in Orange County, and the entire Southern California area looks very similar to this right now, but with more snow on the mountains.

God is not mocked ‘tards.

Your lovingly crafted little models repeatedly left out solar activity because you said it didn’t matter - GW was caused by human activity. So, solar activity ceased - see how you like it.

Too bad there’s only a screen door between us and all junk science worshippers.

No, Al Gore is correct. I was in the San Fran area and had tremendous gas. I’m home now in the midwest and they are now freezing. That must have been it.

It’s frozen in Los Angeles today. The surrounding mountains are covered with heavy snow!

Yep, but the snow is heavy and way low on those mountains. The rain on Monday & Tuesday turned to snow.

A striking site is at Bolsa Chica State Beach, where a 360 degree view is beautiful on days like this.

To the sea Catalina and San Clemente Islands.

Down the coast of Orange County, piers, beaches and hillsides.

Up the coast to Long Beach/Los Angeles harbors, Queen Mary, Spruce Goose hangar, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Looking inland the skyline of Los Angeles, the snow covered San Gabriel mountains, San Bernardino mountains, and snow on OC’s very own Saddleback mountain.

(I don’t recognize your picture as OC)

A lot of people keep wasting their time. None of this means squat!

If it's not Global Warming, it will be Global Cooling; if not Global Cooling then something else.

When will it sink in? This is not about saving the planet.
This is about power over every nook and corner of our lives, by the perverts, the racists, the entitlement crowd, Countries Worldwide who feel entitled to the fruits of American blood and sweat.

They thought the time was right; They will be proven wrong.

According to the UN.
Ha ha?

We need to examine everything that comes out of that muslim-run criminal group.
Every fact needs to be independently verified.
Time to wake up and start acting!

It isn’t all that warm over here in the foothills either! Global warming is taking a serious hit in Northern California this week.

I am thinking of the woman, I met on a cable car two years ago. She told me she had $1700 a month studio apartment with no heat.

It’s all fine and dandy to joke about winter- but both sides of this debate will have to realize temperature isn’t the issue. Temperature is avoiding, and focusing far too much on something that takes credibilty away from the argument that maybe it’s not a good idea, or at least not morally correct for us to ‘freely’ destroy that which we rely on to survive.
