A GOP counter-delegation is forming to undermine the Obama administration's work on an international climate change agreement in Copenhagen, warning that the president is poised to make commitments he can't keep and drawing heightened attention to controversial leaked e-mails.

A GOP counter-delegation is forming to undermine the Obama administration's work on an international climate change agreement in Copenhagen, warning that the president is poised to make commitments he can't keep and drawing heightened attention to controversial leaked e-mails.

At least a half-dozen Republican senators and representatives are planning to head to Denmark next week, as part of the overall U.S. congressional delegation, which includes plenty of Democrats as well.

But the Republicans have a markedly different agenda.

"Truth squad," is how Sen. Jim Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey described the GOP team. He called the Democratic visitors to the conference the "doom squad."

The Oklahoma Republican and ardent global warming skeptic plans to head to Denmark along with Sens. Roger Wicker of Mississippi and John Barrasso of Wyoming. On the House side, Reps. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, Joe Barton of Texas and Darrell Issa of California are tentatively planning to attend.

That is a great group of Republicans countering Obama.
One of the Reps. is one of our Republican Congressmen
in San Diego, Darrell Issa.

Believe it or not,. I just saw a CBS Katie Couric emotional propaganda special that basically debunked the entire "climate change agenda" as a hoax, but ended with a "scientist" claiming that the republicans are opposing the treaty to curb CO2 just to "get Obama" at Copenhagen !

wierdest thing I have seen on TV news in quite a while !

Just heard on radio that Dr. William Gray — a meteorologist renowned for his methods of predicting hurricanes — recently made a statement claiming that the leaked e-mails from UEA indicate a conspiracy among certain scientists to commit fraud for the purpose of pushing a political agenda.

****Truth squad vs. Doom squad****

I think I’ll start calling all of these enviro and “science” hucksters Doomers. As in, ‘Hey Doomer, where’s your sandwich-board.”

Hummmmmm. ... Let’s hope they aren’t sidetracked by some bill or senate work someone decides to use to derail this effort. Politics are deadly business these days and it sure seems like shoot to kill is pretty much at every level now.

This’ll rain on Swartzniggers parade from his opening speech there. Nice. Someone up front and personal to oppose what he said to those who might inquire.

Copenahagen has huge billboards up...quilt trip on leaders of countries if they aren’t on board with global warming. Awful!

[[A GOP counter-delegation is forming to undermine the Obama administration’s work on an international climate change agreement in Copenhagen, warning that the president is poised to make commitments he can’t keep and drawing heightened attention to controversial leaked e-mails.]]

Yeah? Well how about they make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that ‘man-caused’ global warming is a FRAUD, and make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that the UN has already determined and agreed to screwing the world and developing nations?

Lay it ALL out on the table- show that the code for the climate models was FRAUDULENT, and DEMAND that all those invovled in perpetrating this fraud be investigated for criminal acts agaisnt humanity- Let’s do this delegation right- let’s see justice TRULY win htis time instead of just talking about it to a crowd at the UN who is NOT goign ot listen- let’s make sure the mainstream media HAS to cover the emerging FACTS because we will NOT let them get away with being silent on the issue any logner!

I mean my gosh- ya just want to take every single climate change criminal gatherign at that conference by the throat, and shake them until they confess- infront of cameras so the world can see- that they were LYING!!! Knock some sense into these maggots!!!

and lining their pockets. I'd like to see an audit of their bank accounts and stock ownership in 'green' companies, for one, especiallly just prior to globalwarming 'announcements'.

I hope they get some support from REAL scientists. Not a bunch of political hacks in white coats. Good luck to them.

Agreed -- they have a LONG way to go to rebuild our trust in them.

But if only ONE steps forward, others may follow.
