NEW YORK (AP) - The American Civil Liberties Union has lost a quarter of its yearly donations after a major donor cut off $19 million in annual donations because of economic difficulties. David Gelbaum, a wealthy California conservationist, said he was indefinitely stopping the donations that had made him the New York-based group's largest anonymous donor

Well if he announced he’s not donating this year, I guess we know who “Mr. Anonymous” is.
I’ve been on their mailing list for donations because I’m an attorney; they must assume that all attorneys support their marxist agenda. I can expect the deluge of solicitations any time now.

Which may explain their recent decisions to take on issues that are decidedly true to the constitution.
One, they defended against the request for private emails with regard to Prop 8 in CA
Can’t remember the most recent time, but I mentioned to a friend that it was a departure from their usual anti-American leanings.
They need money. Too bad, so sad. Let them go broke.
