Nope, no “third party” - just clean out the elitists from the GOP, top to bottom,

get real conservatives elected,

then clean out GOVERNMENT from top to bottom.

Worth repeating...

It is time for Sarah Palin to write over the American political landscape so that the words of our Founders will resonate across this land again.

You got it buddy! Palin is the real deal. The Joan of Arc fighting liberalism, marxism, and general democratic sorriness. She is the defacto President of all of the confessing members of the real constitutional Republic.

That's the way to go. But we will have to battle the GOP most of the way. They are going to run lots of rinos in 2010 because they know there is a good chance to get them into office. I guess I'm not a big fan of the 3rd party idea, but I am done holding my nose for the guy with the 'R' after his name.

Vote against the RINO in the primary,
vote against the ‘Rat in the general.

Repeat every election.

Great article. I think if Palin were to have a real debate with Gore, not one where he gets thrown all the softballs, it will boost her status. She’ll then be able to spearhead a revival of the GOP.

Well I did it, Yesterday my Palin 2012 bumper sticker went on the car. Election 2012 is on.

My New bumper sticker:

PALIN 2012
NO TELEPROMPTER REQUIRED

Already I was approached by one of the Dads picking up his kid at my son's school, who said, “you know your pretty brave, you're asking to have your car keyed.” This same guy has an Obama sticker. He was not implying he would do it, but he knows how Obama people think.

That has taken the Republican Party down a couple of pegs, and it is now far more amenable to the common-sense values that Sarah Palin embodies.

The Republican Party has learned nothing.

For my money the GOP’s future is entirely in their own hands. My support and vote will follow Sarah Palin. If they want either they will have to nominate her and those who support and believe in her. OTOH, give us another McCain or worse, and I'll be going with whatever party DOES have her as the nominee. Period. End of discussion.

If all the Pubbie egghead elites want to know why Palin is so popular with the grassroots, it’s because, unlike a lot of the other Pubbie wanna-bes, she shows a spine of steel. She won’t give in on core conservative issues. That does not mean she’s perfect, but you won’t have to worry about Plain signing some carbon tax bill or waving to the gay rights lobby.

I’m not on the Sarah 2012 boat, but she is very good for the Republican Party. Clarity and toughness is so refreshing.

The High Priest of the Global Warming church isn't going to debate Sarah. He's just stuck on the "Science is Settled" theme.

Algore isn't very smart, but he's political enough to know that debating Sarah is a No-Win situation for him.

Besides, we're not going to be running against the High Priest; Osama Obama is going to be our opponent.

Sarah seems to be handling herself in an optimal way, so I'm not going to presume to tell her what she should do.

But the more I see of her, the more sold I am on her presidential capabilities.

The framers therefore crafted a Constitution to create a limited government in order to curtail the power of such people. But government of the people, by the people, and for the people requires people to be vigilant about keeping the power of government limited. Unfortunately, the people have failed to do that, and now it is time to rectify the failure.

LOL. Talk about wishful thinking! This guy doesn't understand how bad things are, and how impossible it is to fix.

The reason that the national government's powers are not "limited", or "few and defined", as Madison described it, is because of inherent flaws in the Constitution.

The foremost flaw is the role of the Supreme Court as interpreter and last word on the meaning of the Constitution.

Just take the commerce clause. The SCOTUS rulings pertaining to the commerce clause that steadily increased national power go back to the early 1800s. You think anyone can find a court that will overturn hundreds of years of precedent? Fat chance. In fact, they are going in the other direction. Just a few years ago Scalia wrote a majority opinion affirming Wickard, the new deal commerce clause case.

The incorporation of the 14th amendment is another area where judicial review has led to expansion of national power. Is this new birth of freedom going to overturn those cases? Are we going to see the 14th, 16th, and 17th amendments overturned?

When it comes to limited government, the Constitution is a dead letter. It is as flexible and changeable as the judges want it to be, and all questions are merely political questions. You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Sarah has a good shot in 2012.

OTOH, just this morning Gerald0 said he thought Huckabees chances for POTUS have dwindled BUT he thinks a Palin/Huckabee ticket is a winner.

I hope and pray Sarah isn't going to pick the Huckster. He's toxic.

The Republican Party has an existing political infrastructure that can be used to facilitate a national campaign by Sarah Palin, whereas a third party candidacy would need to reinvent the wheel.

Exactly. The GOP is just the bus. Let's make sure who the driver is.

The Moose Huntress can slide behind my wheel anytime she likes.

Geraldo likes the fact that Huckabee appears on his weekend fox show as the “conservative voice”.
