Michelle Duggar, who was hospitalized last week with gallstone issues, gave birth to her 19th child with husband Jim Bob Duggar. The couple, who stars on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, welcomed daughter Josie Brooklyn at 6:27 p.m. Thursday at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Josie weighed in at 1 lb., 6 oz and was several months early. She was due in the spring.
A rep for TLC said Michelle was taken to the OR for an emergency C-section. Josie is in stable condition in the NICU. No other details were available. “The most important thing right now is for mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery,” the TLC rep says.
Michelle, 42, was rushed to the hospital last weekend. In a video message from her hospital room earlier this week, Michelle and Jim Bob said the baby was “going great.”
The Duggar family has not commented.

I watch it occassionally when I am away from home (we don’t watch tv at home). I do however follow their website and I have gotten some great recipes from them.
Actually there was only one baby in there at a time, two at the most. But it is very sensitive of you to compare a wonderful mother’s body to a circus side show. :)

Please wrap your arms around baby Josie and keep her safe. Allow the doctors to benefit from your wisdom and the nurses to use your love and compassion toward Baby Josie and her family. Also, keep reminding the Duggar family of your love and mercy as they go through this tough time. In Your holy and precious name - Amen
I admire this family, but maybe her body has had enough. I know they want God’s will and all, but that’s a mighty tiny baby, and her age should be considered.
Well it’s their decision to have a big family and if they can support them all without government assistance then “Mazel Tov”, if not then shame on them.
That being said my one sister has 15 kids and they ARE using the government assistance ie. WIC and other government handouts even though they claim to be Conservative Republicans.
They have also not paid any of the medical bills concerning their children’s post natal care and most of her kids are born as “wire babies” because she goes on diets when she is pregnant and the good for nothing husband of hers made her work in the field when she was pregnant and not when she was a little bit pregnant, but when she was A *LOT* pregnant. The kids were usually born weeks or months early and then needed to be hooked to O2 or heart monitors etc and looked like Ethiopian poster children of the 80’s. She has a habit of dieting excessively when pregnant (denying the developing child of much needed nutrition, vitamins and minerals), but not as much as she did with children 1-10. Why she does this is beyond my guess, but I think she does it because she is bipolar or has some sort of mental issue. She claims to be Pro-life, and that is good, but why torture a unborn child by denying it a good start in life by holding back nutrition so you can keep your figure. It is almost as bad as those who get abortions so they can “keep their figure”.
In one case one of later children was born relatively normal and the other children in the family thought there was something wrong with it BECAUSE it wasn’t hooked up to medical equipment via tubes or wires. A lot of her children do suffer from mild to severe mental deficiencies in language and coordination. It is sad because if my sister took better care of herself and their children and her good for nothing wanna be cowboy of a husband really worked at improving their lives the taxpayers wouldn’t have to subsidize their sorry and miserable existence.
If the Duggars are everything to ensure their children are having appropriate pre-natal nutrition and from what I can tell they are (Their latest kid seems to have been born early due to natural complications). If they are not subsidizing their brood on the tax payers dime then I wish them the best and hope for them to have a healthy happy huge family!
Somebody has to help us keep up with the muzzie and illegal alien births so that we aren’t completely overrun in another generation.

Glad she and baby are doing well. IMHO, she has more sex than I have had in my entire 50 years of living!
Prayers for little Josie Brooklyn. That’s very premature, right on the edge.
On the other hand, I have a cousin who was premature. She was born during a snowstorm and put into a dresser drawer with lots of wool clothes around her to keep her warm, until the doctor could finally get out there. She had a few problems from being so premature—but she just celebrated her 90th birthday, over in England.
