I wonder if they told Shatner she was coming on after his reading? Did he fake that look of surprise, or was it real?
In any case, there’s no question that the audience is on her side. Quite a difference from the last time around. She is growing on people, and not just conservatives, because I doubt that was a conservative audience.
She’s funny, smart, gorgeous, talented. There’s more. I’m leaving lots out.

He might be, who knows..loved him on TJ Hooker. He seems like a good guy and the look on his face when he saw Sarah, I think he was truly stunned to see her. He probably thought she would be upset with him because he has been doing poems of her book and her tweets but this was really fun to see. Im hoping there is even more

I don't think he was acting. He had the look of the kid who's standing in front of the class imitating the teacher and then realizes she's walked into the room behind him.
That was great, yes Shatner knew she was coming on...it was a skit afterall. They worked together beautifully!

Obama tries to emulate Spok, heck he’s got the ears, but he’s got two big problems, one is he ties to mind meld with anything that looks like a teleprompter, and two is he can’t hold the “live long and prosper sign” without flipping off somebody in his, too cool, casual way.

course I would take her just as seriously regardless, as i think her beauty truly emanates from within. :)

On the one hand, he had to have known. Their joint exit, his chagrined reaction to her reading, etc, were clearly rehearsed. OTOH, I suspect Shatner was genuinely shocked by the overwhelming reaction to her appearance by a (presumably largely liberal) audience.
the problem with the media=left is, they’ve fooled themselves into thinking that she really was who the Mccain campaign tried to portray her, when in reality she is vivacious, funny and fun loving, as smart as anyone you’ll see on tv and is filled with love for her God, family and country, and to compound that problem for the left=media, so do a majority of americans.

Actually you are 100% correct, She told people that years ago she wore contacts for a while but that people kept commenting to her about her looks in the government, so she said that she had to go back to her glasses which she needed since her youth....
thank you for saving me from staying up to see this bit ....I do not think Gonad is funny and do not watch the tonight show any more.....
Madame President was great and clearly they are friends.....(Kirk and Sarah) Rush was very at ease with him when he did his show...Kirk must be a conservative

BTW, I'd pay a hundred bucks to see the look on Mitt Romney's (a.k.a. Nelson Rockefeller Retread's) face when he watches this, and hears the audience's reaction to Sarah's sudden appearance.
Palin is the most charismatic and articulate person in national politics at the moment. I am still amazed and impressed that she apparently had to ad-lib her speech when her teleprompter failed for whatever reason at the gop conv, if that is indeed true.
She is a natural comedic actor—her timing, inflection, facial expressions, knowuign when to pause for effect—dead on.
Without the filters and screens of the Dems and the state run media, the real Sarah shines through.
And she conquers.
Hmmm, maybe she is near sighted..I wear glasses to read(I should be wearing them all the time but I just hate wearing them) she is just beautiful, both inside and out
