Watching Fox News Online
FNC Underground ^ | 12/12/09 | Joe Seales

Posted on 12/12/2009 8:58:15 PM PST by JoeSeales

I wasn't sure under which topic this thread should go..

In a previous post here on FR, I gave a link to a page on my personal website/blog where I had embedded some live streaming of Fox News. I decided to do it after Blinkotv did away with FNC.

So many people relied on that service to watch FNC..Lately a lot of folks have been forced to cut their cable or satellite subscriptions due to the current financial mess we're in.

To make a very long story short, I had an experience with some not-so-friendly folks who decided to check out my website domain in the whois registry and post my personal information online..since then I've been getting all kinds of spam..e-mail and phone calls. When I first bought the site, I never anticipated that I would need a private domain registration- so I left it public. Big mistake!

So- I'm posting this to let everyone know who had the old site bookmarked that the domain name has changed (private now) and the streams are now being hosted at:

http://www.foxnewsunderground.com

There are three Fox News Live Streams and one for Fox Business Channel. There's also the ability to chat with other folks while you're watching..kinda like the old TikiLive site.

That's all. Just wanted you to know so you could update your bookmarks if you had the old link saved.

Thanks, Joe

You're very welcome! Gosh, you must really love Fox News! :)

Don't forget to check out this site too:

They have lots more channels. Who needs to pay cable?

Thanks, but how do I get rid of that orange add that says FreeTv and Download now that takes up half the TV screen?

I dunno! Try another browser? Change your settings?
Ok, I tried putting the cursor on the player, just below the pause button. A drop down offers “This Frame” and when that’s highlighted another menu appears saying “Show only this frame” which opens another window showing only the player, no ads.
I’m using Firefox with windows xp.

Oops, forgot the right click thingy. Put cursor just below pause button, right click, “this frame” highlight ...”show only this frame.”

That worked for me.

Or you could shut your right eye! :)

Thanks. I will try it later with the curser thing. I don’t know why but when I go to sites like these I can’t seem to get out of them and end up having to use the ctrl alt delete to shut all the way down in order to get out of them. :-(

You probably need to explore the capabilities of your browser. Go into its tools and see what options there are for blocking popup ads. Might try blocking cookies for all but a few sites in which they’re useful (like FR).
And stay outta the worst sites like townhall.com! When I go there I need to ctrl-alt-del too, it’s like walking into a blizzard.

I just checked my settings and it looks like I am pretty well covered to prevent pop-ups and cookies.

Add ons kill firefox. You can try disabling them by going to tools, add-ons.

Or, you could try google chrome. Very light and resource friendly.
