(D-MO) McCaskill says CBO score will determine her vote on Reid's new healthcare bill

If the current healthcare compromise doesn't bend the cost curve and bring down the deficit, it's "back to the drawing board," Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said today.

McCaskill said her vote will be determined by the Congressional Budget Office analysis of Harry Reid's new healthcare bill.

"Until we get the numbers back from the Congressional Budget Office we're all on hold," McCaskill told Fox News Sunday. "I have to be assured that this is going to bring down the deficit and is going to bring down healthcare costs for Missouri families."

Though not released yet, Reid's compromise would reportedly replace the public option with a Medicare "buy-in" for those aged 55-64 and a series of non-profit plans negotiated by the government.

I'll believe it when I see it.

That’s a cowardly approach. It could score well and still be the wrong thing to do.

I don’t trust the CBO numbers anymore. Any government body, with Obama as President, has to be considered suspect.

CATO did a study of the CBO scoring of the various health care bills. They use Enron style accounting gimmicks. They are totally useless now days

Don’t believe it for a minute. McCaskill has never let a true word pass her lips and she’s not about to change now.

Here’s a novel idea, how about casting your vote based on your constituents desires. Why don’t you, oh I don’t know, actually represent the people of Missouri.

That's exactly how I feel about her--and I cheered when the townhall meeting fought back against her lies. Remember when she asked the crowd whether they trusted her, and the boos poured down upon her phony face? What a gem of a moment!

In other words, she’ll support it. Whatever the score is, she can find a reason to and has a convenient excuse.

A Profile of Cowardice. It is really a simple question of either you want government run health care or not. This kind of talk is nothing but political cover. I am sure Reid will manipiulate the language, as he has done, to make it deficit neutral or better using the fake 10 year window.

I listened to her on this show.

I was left with the impression that she will go with any excuse to vote FOR this bill. If the CBO calls it too expensive, she’ll consider other ways to pay for it.

She is an idiot. The CBO is just as corrupt as any part of Washington.

She'd vote Yea on 2000 empty sheets of paper if the leadership told her too.

She is good at memorizing talking points given her though. She repeats 'em like a Chatty Cathy doll.

Pull the string, "saves money"

pull the string "lowers the deficit"

pull the string "reduces waste"

I feel like my IQ goes down a point everytime I hear that moron open her fat yap.

Too bad Mullah Obama had to send all those new troops to Afganistan, those 'savings' could have been used to offset the 'greater good' that government-run health care provides.

Imagine the health care you could provide if you didn't have a military at all and could abandone all duties assigned the Fed. by the constitution? (Phase II)

Exactly right! Pushing formerly free American’s into a Soviet Gulag style health system is morally bankrupt from the get-go, no matter what the CBO “score” says.

Besides, any plan that is going to add 50 million people to the health care system and is going to require insurance companies to take on people with pre-existing conditions is going to bankrupt the nation AND the insurance companies. You have to be completely brain-dead to not see that.

Furthermore, we all know that the proposed plan is just the tip of the iceberg. Things will rapidly get much worse after this monstrosity is passed.

She will do EXACTLY what Owebama tells her to do.

BTW, did you know that she and her husband have already siphoned off $3 million of "Stimulus" money from Porkulus for their Section 8 housing projects.?

I've tried to get the local "press" to cover that story, but no interest...big surprise.
