Yesterday, classes at Bridgewater Raritan High School were cancelled due to a bomb threatand a 16-year-old junior had been charged with "attempted murder, possession of explosives, possession of a destructive device and attempted widespread damage or injury." The Star-Ledger reports, "The teen was arrested after another student told a school police resource officer the suspect had told him of his plan 'to commit a Columbine at the high school on December 14.'" While no explosives were found at the school, "when police searched the teens home, they discovered homemade explosive devices, shotgun shells, bullets, black powder, as well as items that could act as explosive device components and bomb-making instructions."

Crap, my old high school (1978).
The police state of Bridgewater-Raritan, home of some of the most unpleasant cops in NJ.
Oh boy are THEY in trouble!
Sounds like some creep who was planning a school shooting was the friend of a Boy Scout type, and so the good guy gets blamed for possessing perfectly lawful things because the creep was taking them to use them maliciously.

It’s hard to tell from the various sources if this was a real threat or a bunch of hysteria on the part of the media.
How does one find “bullet fragments” in the hall of a high school, and since when do “bullet fragments” constitute the need for a panic stricken evacuation?
