Palin Vs. Gore: Oceans Apart
Investors.com ^ | December 14, 2009 | INVESTORS BUSINESS DAILY Staff

Global Warming: The Alaskan governor who knew polar bears weren't endangered says the planet isn't either and challenges the oracle of climate change. Al Gore says despite the CRU e-mails, the situation is of the utmost gravity.

In a Dec. 9 Washington Post op-ed, Sarah Palin noted that the Climate-gate e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia "reveal that leading climate 'experts' deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to 'hide the decline' in global temperatures and tried to silence their critics from publishing in peer-reviewed journals."

This did not sit well with Gore. "The entire North Polar ice cap is disappearing before our eyes," he said on MSNBC. "What do they think is happening?" He added: "That is a principle in physics. It's not a question of debate. It's like gravity; it exists."

Palin, called a "denier" by Gore, says she denies nothing, responding on Facebook: "Climate change is like gravity — a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it. It is man-caused global warming and Gore's doomsday scenarios that (are) at issue."

So fact-challenged is Gore on the subject that when he criticized Palin's position on global warming, he claimed: "I haven't read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus." Oh, yes they do, Al, and the word is "conspiracy," not "consensus."

You might be overlokking a few folks in the statement about knowledge of the North and “public figures”

You might want to check with these folks

Crawford Patkotak 907-852-5211
Vera Williams 907-852-5211
Emily Nusunginya 907-852-5211
Robert C. Harcharek 907-852-5211
Matilda M. Adams 907-852-5211
Lacy Warden 907-852-5211 (the number goes to the switchboard)

Why? Well, they live there year around for one thing. Oh, and they are responsible for policy for the largest political division in Northern Alaska.

And ya, they haven’t been real supportive of the Gore or the Gorebots.

Yes, some of them go back that far, and some are very recent. Which says what, class?

(Get out your pens and be ready to write this down, now, because there WILL BE A TEST and THIS QUESTION WILL BE ON IT.)

It means: THEY HAVE BEEN FUDGING THE DATA AND LYING TO US FOR A VERY LONG TIME. AND THEY ARE STILL DOING IT TODAY.

Get it? The only word you need to hear ringing in your little head right now is: CONSPIRACY.

That's right, class. They knew what they were doing then, they kept it up for a decade at least, and they were continuing it right up until a month ago. AND THEY WOULD STILL BE DOING IT ... except that they got ratted out. Somebody with a heart and a soul finally said, "Enough. This just can't go on." Bless whoever that was, but DAMN those who were doing it.

And DAMN those who continue to pretend that there's nothing going on here. DAMN them for their willingness to try to pull the wool over not just a few government officials. Not just a tiny little backwards country. But to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, a sovereign nation, full of good people who want to do the right thing. And along with us the ENTIRE FREE WORLD and many of the countries who are anything but free, whose lives would get a lot more miserable as a result.

They were willing to do this for the basest of reasons: greed. They were willing to devastate our economy to line their pockets and their friends, too. And when it all turned out okay, they could smugly say, "Whew, we sure saved you didn't we? That was close, and we almost blew it." When in fact there was no crisis at all, and we all got worked up and worried over nothing.

Perhaps you think I'm being too harsh. Perhaps you think I am being un-Christian. But punishment of the worst kind is exactly what they deserve. And I put Al Gore at the top of that list, because knowing - KNOWING! - all this he still sticks to his smug, arrogant attitude. He and his cronies in the media, and in government (hoping to gain nearly infinite control over us and the economy), and in academia and science (greedy little gnomes rubbing their hands at getting all that juicy cash).

I would have some respect for him if he (or anyone) were to say, "Well, folks, it sure looks like we've been lied to. And I'm sorry I believed it, but I'm here to tell you, after looking at what's just happened -- it's all a bunch of hooey. And we've got to go back and take a whole new fresh look at what's going on. Because it sure ain't what it seemed to be. I'm embarrassed and disappointed in myself. If you'll let me, we can work on this together and see if there's anything at all to be concerned about. And forgive me for being so gullible."

All those who think that's going to happen, raise your hand.

Anyone?

Hello? Anyone?

No, you're right, of course. They can't. Because they are all part of the lie, and they'd rather stick with the lie than to admit the truth. Just like Dan Rather, who to this day purports to believe the lie he created.

I say again: damn them all to the punishment they so richly deserve. At the very minimum, ridicule and eternal shame. At the maximum, hard time in a hard cell in a hard prison in a hard, cold place.

To quote Capt. Picard, "Make it so, number one."

You must be a cooling denier.

palmer probably understood more about climate and weather in high school than you'll ever have a chance to comprehend.

I can't take credit for "Mann-Made".

One of the commentors on Delingpole's Telegraph Blog came up with it.

It is a good one.

He was simply an annoying turd before the 2000 election; he’s now an annoying turd with a god-complex.
Which would be laughable if he didn't have so many worshippers. I mean, I can sort of see worshiping a golden calf... but a turd with a god-complex... c'mon people, wake up!

(Although, if you think of the money he's made, you can think of him as a Golden Turd... with a god-complex.)

She knows what a mess can be made from her experience with the Valdez, but pollution is one thing, and what the warmists are saying is another.
But you see, pollution isn't good enough for the leftists. Because pollution can be contained. Pollution can be prevented. INDUSTRY CAN CONTINUE WITHOUT POLLUTING. So how do you stop industry? You got it... Mann-Made GlowBull Warming!

I’m a cooling skeptic. I don’t believe it is warming or cooling, we rose a little in the early 00’s and fell since about 2005. I would much rather see a little warming than cooling, the main reason is that (even here in Virgina) I need heat for more or less 6 months, and cool my house for a few weeks at most.

Yes. Actually warming would set up much more farm production in Canada! But there is no man made anything.

Consensus cannot exist in the relm of science; if it did, science would die.
