Hell, nancy peelousi will throw you in a camp for not buying her insurance plan. She will become the insurance agent of the year - for sure.
I’d rather watch Hogans Hero’s.
SHULTZ!
Can we send Nancy? I will donate.
I will surround this camp with a ring of steel!
I can’t freakin’ believe this. My grandfather, who was a POW in Nazi Germany, would be rolling in his grave. His experiences as a POW were unpleasant, to say the least.
I will surround this camp with a ring of steel!
I know nothing...
I see nothing.....
High on my bucket-list! That and the Nijmegen march.

Acknowledged, and with no Disrespect intended to his memory. Not all vacations need to be fun and relaxing, tho', in order to be worthwhile. The Lough Derg Pilgrimage wouldn't be for everyone, and most people wouldn't enjoy it. Same with visiting Killing Fields of Cambodia, or doing the Nijmegen March.
I wouldn't mind doing any of these, just once — because they provide a really different slice of life, and at the end you get to return alive and you get bragging rights. Much more interesting pub talk than "my vacation at Disneyland".
The POW Camp vacation would be lots of fun for anyone brought up idolizing The Greatest Generation. I don't mean "fun" as in FUN, but "fun" in that you get to step back thru time and live life as it was lived in their boots. Who wouldn't want to do that?? I'm good for that, anytime.
I might draw the line at the Kidnap Vacation, even tho' it sounds like a riot. To do that properly it would be necessary to run the risk of not coming out alive, and for that risk to be real. An acceptable risk if not dealing with bozos, and I'm not convinced from what I read in the article that Bozo isn't running that outfit. And, too, it sounds kinky — which makes me wonder how realistic it could be. And besides, you can get kidnapped for free by vacationing in Mexico.
Coming next.. the Bataan Death March Experience?
Or... Auschwitz for a Week (we use Febreze rather than Zyklon-B for your safety)
Would rather spend the cash at Gunsite learning how to be a better Pistol shot.
But if they are looking for guards, I have a German Uniform.
Thank you posting the reminder of the Killing Fields in Cambodia. We need to remind ourselves of that every once in awhile.
Damn! You beat me to it.
Now I’ll have Elmer Bernstein’s “The Great Escape” theme in my head!
Sure, guns are fun and it's useful and relaxing to be able to shoot. But after a while there's only so many different ways to make a firearm go "bang" and so many different holes you can put into a target at so many different distances.
But actually doing something different, exciting and meaningful — like walking the Bataan Death March or visiting ANZAC Cove at Gallipoli — you don't do that sort of thing for "kicks" but they are excellent things to do on vacation nonetheless. Not all vacations need to be relaxing and happy. Sometimes it is good to do things that are sobering and unusual.
Like the others that I've listed up-thread, I would gladly do these two vacations in a heartbeat.
I would sign up for that in an instant: it would be unforgettable, the sort of thing you could tell your grandchildren.
Beats YET ANOTHER vacation in Vegas all hollow.
Tavelocity option.
EVER.
