I wouldn’t be surprised if the idiot left in Seattle allowed him to serve his term in a Tent City.

He should have been sentenced to burial.

Then he could have been allowed the choice of having it done while he was living or dead.

He was found guilty on all counts. But, I think that the sentencing is later. But, he does face Life and I suppose that is what he will get. Lets hope it doesn’t come with an option for parole after 10 years or something stupid.

Why did it take 3 1/2 years before a trial?

How was he convicted for “eight counts of murder” when he only killed one person?

The justice system in WA is totally whacko!!

I can only address the first part, from the article.

This was Haq's second trial. His first one ended in a deadlocked jury, which could not determine whether or not he was insane, as his lawyers claimed.

He was convicted on eight counts of murder AND harassment. (Harassment? Weird.) Anyway, that could be one count of murder and seven counts of harassment, for a total of eight counts.

The article isn't clare on the convictions.

The eight counts against him included one count of aggravated first-degree murder; five counts of attempted first-degree murder; one count of unlawful imprisonment; and one count of malicious harassment, the state's hate-crime law.

Life without parole is mandatory, I presume due to murder with the aggravating circumstances.

Thanks for the details; like I expected, one count of murder and a mixed bag of seven other counts.
