While the detonation of a nuclear weapon in the United States is considered highly unlikely, Los Angeles and other U.S. cities are preparing for such a disaster by assessing old bomb shelters and preparing emergency response plans, the Los Angeles Daily News reported Monday.

If when a nuke is detonated in a US city, the resulting chaos will make New Orleans Katrina disaster look like a sunday picnic.

Expect NO help from the government. The elected and appointed officials will be too busy saving their own hides.

Hmmmmm.... How much CO2 is given off in a nuclear blast? Calculate that with the lifetime carbon footprint of a few million americans with 2.5 cars per family and the eventual stimulus in cleanup and reconstruction costs to repopulate in new one child only, 800 square foot eco-pod housing, and electric busses being the only transit system, and I'd say you have Obamatopia.

Yep, he's gonna nuke most of our cities. It's just a matter of carbon offsets.

There is a cabinet member in Obie's administration who is endorsing the demolition and relocation of a bunch of cities residents, returning the land to nature.

Nuclear explosions would just fast track his programs.

Another reminder is that this guy claims world population should be at 100 million, no more. You know, to be fair to the earth.
