Depending on the methods used, reprogramming of adult cells to obtain iPSCs may pose significant risks that could limit its use in humans. For example, if viruses are used to genomically alter the cells, the expression of cancer-causing genes or oncogenes may potentially be triggered. In February 2008, in ground-breaking findings published in the journal Cell, scientists announced the discovery of a technique that could remove oncogenes after the induction of pluripotency, thereby increasing the potential use of iPS cells in human diseases. Even more recently, in April 2009, the group of Sheng Ding in La Jolla, California, could show that the generation of iPS cells was possible without any genetic alteration of the adult cell: A repeated treatment of the cells with certain proteins channeled into the cells via poly-arginine anchors was sufficient to induce pluripotency. The acronym given for those iPS is piPS (protein-induced pluripotent stem cells).

Moving from one psuedoscience hoax to another. Hardly a surprise.
This isn’t a direct reference to Gore or any particular politician.
But my view is that no one pays off an ex-politician. So when a retired politician suddenly is swamped with money, that money didn’t come after he retired whatever the business pages tell you. Whatever he’s involved in, book deals, think tanks, partnerships, foundations, is designed to provide a way to launder his fortune into daylight.
When a guy who never made more than a couple hundred grand in his life is suddenly a billionaire, or a very serious multi-hundred-millionaire, after a life-time on public salaries, I don’t believe any of the official explanations of how he came by that money.
Adult stem cell science is not a hoax or a pseudoscience.
Where’d all his hip money come from ?
Please oh please, tell me that Al is the donor! What a man to sacrifice his life in the name of science. Do not argue with me, just accept this contention and Merry Christmas to you to.
