Posted on 12/17/2009 10:43:31 AM PST by MadisonReagan
Complete with a raft of documents and exhibits, fired AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin on Wednesday filed a motion for summary judgment in his lawsuit demanding reinstatement to his job -- his own motion not even waiting for the judge to rule on the Obama administration's motion to dismiss the case without hearing or trial. A close perusal of his motion, affidavits, and exhibits suggests to me, for the first time, that this case has potential to reach the Supreme Court regardless of how the lower court rules.... Thus we get a glimpse of the tangled web of interests and embarrassments of Obama allies on which the firing of Mr. Walpin put a kibosh. In logic if not in law, this raises the specter of obstruction of justice....

I have a great idea.
Let’s drop the stupid -gate suffix.
Not everything is equivalent to Watergate.
may as well stop folks from trying to use “xerox” - instead of “copy”...
Keep it moving.
|God bless this man for exposing the corruption and smear that Obama's White House has delt him.
He knows his job is kaput if he wins he's doing solely on principle. Bravo!
Are you suggesting this is “gategate”? ;-P
Thank God this is getting the feet it so deserves to take-off and show how 0bama uses his power as POTUS to cover his wrong doings! ACORN won’t be able to steal the election for him if this is brought fully into the light of day.
Impeach Obama and his entire administration! If Pelosi tries to stop it she will be relieved of her duties.
Hmmmmmmmm birthers, Deniers...
WalpinGate,ClimateGate is clear in it’s meaning.
It's time that, once and for all, Presidential spouses are prevented from engaging in ANYTHING involving the U.S. government. In no way, shape or form are they elected officials.
mmm mmm mmm
I will.....but only if the end reult is the same as in Watergate. (impeach or resign) ;-)
I hope he doesn’t take his lunch down to Fort. Marcy Park to eat and commune with the squirrels.
Obama supporters are getting so testy that him exposing another potential poll dropper might well fall under the Bush’s “preemptive strike” policy.
Concur, but that hill's not even worth stubbing your toe on, let alone dying.
or 'band-aid' instead of 'small adhesive bandage'. Besides, what is "Stupidgate" anyways?
I-gate couldn’t-gate agree-gate more-gate.
One of the things I always try to mention when I call my Congressmen is to investigate the firing of Walpin.
Seeing him on TV and that fact is he is a man of principle encourages me to continue to support him. My way of helping is keeping his name in front of our elected Government officials.
Wow, I just read all of the exhibits and I can’t see how the Obama admin gets away from this unscathed. Walpin’s got the goods on them.
This is a text book example of corruption, and obstruction. This thing reads like a scheme some dictator in a third world country would try.
