The political dangers of passing a health care bill
Washington Post ^ | 17 December 2009 | Chris Cillizza

The White House -- as we wrote yesterday -- is dead set on passing the health care bill and will stop at nothing politically to get it done.

But, new data in the NBC/WSJ poll suggests that simply passing a bill -- whatever is in it -- won't solve Democrats' political problems on health care.

Two data points stand out:

* Just 32 percent of of the sample said that President Obama's plan is a good idea while 47 percent said is a bad idea. Public opinion on that question had eroded even since October when 38 percent thought passing some sort of health care bill was a good idea while 42 percent said it was a bad one.

* More people now believe that it would be better to not pass the plan and maintain the status quo (44 percent) than think passing the plan and changing the system is the right course (41 percent). In October, those numbers were reversed with 45 percent agreeing with the idea that passing the Obama plan was the right thing to do while 39 percent preferred to keep the status quo in place.

What that data tells us is that the White House is pushing to passage a piece of legislation that large swaths of the American people neither want nor think will work.

Their treason and tyranny is EXPOSED for all Americans to witness. These arrogant, in-your-face Socialists are TOAST and so is their Party. Bye bye. RATs in Congress can order their moving boxes now and they can start packing.

Looking at these lying traitors and hearing their lies makes me want to barf. Our forefathers are rolling in their grave at their treason.

Glenn Beck really hit home on this today.

I suspect that if anything is passed without funded abortions and a public or single payer option, we WILL see radical violence from the left...much the way it is happening now in Copenhagen.

50 totally different disparate agendas

Combined with a total lack of mature leadership

This is what happens when the “I want” crowd is put in control

The worst thing to ever happen to these guys was when after all the talk and grandiose bluster, America finally said

OK! So show me what you got. I CALL!

Boy is CNN pulling out all the stops. I was just channel surfing and stopped on CNN for the first time in years. Wolf Blitzer was on and before going to a commercial, had a short lead up to the next story. Paraphrasing... “Partisan wrangling puts healthcare legislation in jeopardy. Can are healthcare system be saved?”

Huh? WTF! Two sentences packed with total lies. First, the Dems have 60 votes and “partisan” has nothing to do with it. It’s democrat vs. democrat with the American people in the middle. Second, our healthcare system will still exist if this doesnt go through. It doesn’t need to be ‘saved.’ Nothing but propaganda garbage lies. I am blocking this channel tonight!

They would if they cared what the American people think. They don’t.

Does anybody believe this administration can handle the problems we are faced with? Who thinks it's a good idea to take on $2 trillion in debt when the government can't pay its current obligations? Jobama claims Medicare is bankrupting the government but he wants to fix health care by increasing the participants in Medicare by millions. His next big plan for fixing the job market is to increase competition by 20 million through amnesty. Jokebama is either an idiot or he's trying to destroy this country on purpose.

You forgot the third option.

Not his money.
Not his country.

And he just doesn’t care about any of this stuff.

Spend it all. It’s all OK by him. He’s eyeing his next job at the U.N.

Read the comments at the WaPo link. The libs over there are delusional. I have been posting comments over there to try to poke the hive but they wont bite. Kind of like the libs at my job. They have decided that they no longer want to talk politics.
