Damn it Christie. Way to give the finger to every Republican prosecutor in the state, none of them are right for the job? You gotta pick a rat? They’ve held that office for 8 years I presume. You don’t want to clean it up?

The case for Christie not being a RINO just got slimmer.

Just like Ahhnold here in California. He surrounded himself with liberal Democrat appointments me made from the get go. His chief of staff is a liberal democrat lesbian.

hmm, anyone know Paula Dow’s resume? I liked the fact that Springsteen threw a hissy fit because Christie didn’t share his views on being a homo...I mean, gay issues.

Geez,...I mean, who knew the boss was hitting from both sides of the plate??

Seriously, who cares? Just let the people in New Jersey vote on the issue in a referndum. Don't that seem fair? Then have the Governor work on issues of greater importance; little things like balancing the state budget.

The problem with these libs is they can't live with the results of a referndum on homosexuality.

The fat putz bends over already for the DEMOM establishment. Imagine if he appointed a strict conservative and said he needed to help balance the injustice of having Eric Holder as Osamas AG

The Dem AG’s first and only order of business will be to open investigations of the man who appointed him.

If you read the rest of the article, it doesn’t sound like Dow is a partisan Democrat or anything of the sort (although she is a registered Democrat). She worked in-house at Exxon from 2000 to 2007, then became a federal prosecutor in the civil division Manhattan (when the U.S. Attorney was a Reagan appointee), then headed to the criminal division of DOJ in New Jersey in 1994 (she worked with Chris Christie for years) and when McGreevey named her as Essex County Attorney (not the guy I would have wanted my AG to have been nominated to anything by, but it should be noted that Dow doesn’t hold an elective position in Essex so she hasn’t run for office as a Democrat) she was opposed by corrupt Democrat Mayor Sharpe James of Newark. So I’m going to hold off judgment on Christie for now. While I agree that appointing a registered Democrat such as Dow to a position as sensitive as AG could be evidence of bad political instincts by Christie, Christie worked with her for years and surely knows more about her than we do. Let’s wait and see.

This is interesting...

A proven talent: Paula Dow has earned her appointment as NJ Attorney General

....as is the first comment.

I think I'll keep my powder dry for the moment.

Read it, and if that comment is any indication of where the new administration is going, it’s bidness as usual in the Cesspool State.

FWIW, I don’t give a rat’s back end any more about the letter after someone’s name. But that comment, if true, is hair-raising. Given that NJ’s such a cesspool, I wonder why Chrisite couldn’t have picked someone from outta state. Is there a residency requirement for these positions?

Actually, that’s not a bad idea getting someone from out of state (however, at least with some in-state people, they tend to know where the bodies are buried). You’d have to check the NJ Constitution (yeah, as IF that’s ever followed anymore) to see about residency requirements. For the Gov and legislature (and Congress), obviously, but I have no idea about appointees themselves.
