Non-stop Rosary vigil to defeat ObamaCare
Posted on 12/19/2009 5:17:02 PM PST by giotto
The 60 votes are there for ObamaCare to pass in the Senate. The only thing preventing a vote is a blizzard in Connecticut, where Joe Lieberman went home for Sabbath. So you might say that God is the reason, both for sending Joe home and for sending the snow storm.
I'm beginning to think that it will take a miracle to stop this massive take-over of the health care industry. So I propose an ongoing Rosary vigil. How it works is that I begin by saying a Rosary. When I finish, I reply to this thread. Hopefully, someone else will then take up the vigil and pray. If you decide to join us in prayer, please reply to this thread. It doesn't have to be a whole Rosary. It can be one decade, or even just a Hail Mary. Comments are welcome.

I will give it a try, then ping back when I finish. Then we’ll see. Too bad those proddies don’t believe in the rosary. A whole lot of rosaries mean a whole lot of help.

It is an EXTRAORDINARY idea, and I have put together a Web site for that reason and others as well, of course ...
The Rosary Online (in English and Spanish)
Remember folks, if you do not believe the recitation of the Rosary has powers beyond belief, read
Remembering Lepanto
If you don't pray to Our Lady, you can't say you've done absolutely everything in your power to stop this atrocious bill, and like the poster said, even one Hail Mary is beneficial.

I’m in on this Rosary deal!
It worked at Lepanto, when Islamism was stopped way short of its goals.
Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved country, pray for us. Pray that the antilife Healthcare bill will go down, just as the Muslims did at Lepanto!

“So I propose an ongoing Rosary vigil. How it works is that I begin by saying a Rosary.”
Say a rosary that this S.O.B. in the Oval Office sees his majority in Congress evaporate after this bill is approved,
that he is impeached, that he is tried for treason, and that he is convicted and sent to a Federal Prison for the rest of his miserable, treacherous, mendacious, life.
Say a Rosary that Americans finally wake up - all of them - the fiend that is the Marxist Muslim President and the political party, media and infrastructure which supports him.
And FINALLY, pray a Rosary that either the GOP leadership in Congress locates its testicles, backbone and intestines, or they too are swept aside by the anger and rage of the public to make way for a third political party.

Thank you for the link to your Rosary site, and to the story of Lepanto. In many ways our plight is similar to that small Christian fleet. We face adversaries who are ruthless and determined to enslave us. We have fought with all available legal resources, but our enemy is lawless. We have very little time before this bill could get passed and signed into law.

You are welcome giotto. Your idea is so splendid! I have been praying for the intercession from Our Lady through the Rosary for a quarter of a century, and have never regretted the time spent on even one Hail Mary. Mary was the only person (that wasn't God!) to walk the face of this earth sinless. For that reason alone, she makes the very best of friends to talk to via her Most Holy Rosary. Pray once, pray a thousand times. And then come back and
pray some more.:)

Giotto, may I also add the Sacrament of Reconciliation for Catholics. I saw the most wondrous site today in Kenosha, Wisconsin at St. James Parish. My husband, my daughter and I stopped by in between her water polo games at a tournament at Carthage College, and there were at the very least 200 people going to confession. There were ten priests scattered throughout the church and none of them were in confessionals. They were all face-to-face and didn’t even have screens. There were young children there, young parents, middle aged folks and the elderly, all there to dump their sins and darkness. What an uplifting site!

Thank you Tribal Princess. My parents were not churchgoers as I got older, and I too fell from going to my Lutheran church as a result. As I got even older and met my then boyfriend - now husband (who was a daily mass Catholic), I joined him at his church for daily mass and was awestruck at how many people day in and day out attended. I figured these folks could be doing a thousand other things but they chose to join one another in the Breaking of the Bread (partaking of the
True Body of Christ through the Eucharist) and I was eventually taken in by the same Jesus that brought them there day after day, and as a result have been going to daily mass together with my husband since the day we wed (that's when I became an "official" Catholic) 25 years ago.
