Dems cleared in PMA lobbying scandal By Susan Crabtree - 12/18/09 04:49 PM ET At least three Democratic lawmakers have been cleared of any wrongdoing after an initial investigation into their ties to PMA Group, a now-defunct lobbying firm.

Reps. John Murtha (Pa.), Jim Moran (Va.) and Norm Dicks (Wash.) recently received a letter from the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) informing them that it found no need for further inquiry into the PMA-related allegations. The board of the OCE on Nov. 30 voted unanimously to recommend that the full ethics committee dismiss the charges, according to a letter to the OCE from one of the lawmakers involved. The allegations accused the lawmakers of breaking bribery and illegal gratuity laws, as well as breaking House rules by accepting improper gifts in exchange for official action.

“Office of Congressional Ethics”

Congressional ethics has become an oxymoron.

BS!!! I know all of the PMA a-holes and I have seen their work with Murtha. They have been dirty for years and still are. The company has dissolved, but the same guys are still doing the same stuff. I wonder how they are getting paid.

However, the lone Republican on the investigating committee has just been indicted for war crimes against humanity, and will be executed one week before the trial.

I’m confused...

Wait, they got a letter informing them of no need for
further inquiry from a board that was informed by
a letter from “one of the lawmakers involved”?

Lord, this does stink.
