The header is correct. After conf, the new bill must again secure 60 votes to shut down debate.

Ken Conrad admitted this morning that if the House doesn’t come close to the Senate bill, the 60 fragile coalition in the House will collapse.

The RATS can’t get the monstrosity thu the House without Stupak, and they probably can’t get it through the Senate with it.

Salient point;

"Let me repeat it: I reserve the right to vote against the next cloture vote if there are material changes to this agreement in the conference report. And I will vote against it if that is the case."

Probably RE: MY BRIBE was left off the memo....

This could be very expensive if a few more senators start having "second thoughts" after seeing the bribe Nelson got for his vote.

Exactly. And the House rats are even more piggish - - they'll want a bunch of tasty morsels, too. All the rats will be knocking each other over at the tax dollar trough. This will be like watching 300 sharks tear apart a wounded seal.

I've been wondering ... any chance that someone will try to get cute, having seen the giveaways, try to renege/deal a new hand and blow this thing up?

They ARE 'Rats, after all...

“since Article 1 Section 8 does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care.”

Or do many other things these miscreants are doing.

“It is time for civil disobedience. Pass it on.”

The knuckle dragging socialists have been pushing us this direction for decades; we need to fight back for once.

Unless the House just decides to pass the Senate version directly.

What’s with the 1AM voting scheme?

Congress/Senate never did it before?
Normally they are less than eager to even show up for “work” on weekdays.

Some scheme to get the “vampire” vote? Those who simply can’t be active when the sun is up?

Isn’t that the new Movie produced by Pelosi and Reid?

“Yes, there will be bribes!”

Starring all your favorite Senators.

Cast of a Hundred.

Coming to a midnight theater near YOU.

Hmmm.... 60... Is this or who they are afraid of?

Scott Brown (R) running for Teddy the Swimmers Seat, election day is 01/19/2010.

IMHO they need to get this done before that date if this guy wins, or they are toast. His posing in Cosmo in 82' ain't gonna help, but maybe in MA that is a resume enhancer. Look, he is not perfect, but what if the Senate's Internals are so bad even a Republican has a shot in Massachuetts?

Any thoughts? Especially from MA Freepers...

This bribe to the people of Nebraska - and only to the people of Nebraska - by way of Ben Nelson clearly violates the “equal protection” clause of the US Constitution, doesn’t it? Is Nelson such a fool that he doesn’t see that the bribe is not even likely to be paid and that BoyObaMao and his minions have the perfect “out” and they’ll say, “But, hey, thanks for your vote, Mr. Ben-dover Nelson.”

Can’t all this be tied up in the courts?

Yep. I thought about calling my senator, Fat Deb Stabenow about grabbing some more pork but thought better of it as she would probably come over to my house looking for a meal.

But more bribes cost more money.

It wouldn’t be deficit-neutral anymore — and Obama won’t stand for that < /sarc>

I'm not a lawyer but one suggestion is filing lawsuits.
