Transvestites, Mao And Obama (on Mt. Rushmore) Ornaments Decorate White House Christmas Tree
Big Government ^ | Tuesday, December 22, 2009 | Capitol Confidential

Why let a holiday season come between the White House and making some political statements? The White House pegged controversial designer Simon Doonon to oversee the Christmas decorations for the White House. Mr. Doonon, who is creative director of Barney’s New York has often caused a stir with his design choices. Like his naughty yuletide window display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy. For this year’s White House, he didn’t disappoint.

These photos of ornaments on the White House Christmas tree in the Blue Room were taken just days ago. Of course, Mao has his place in the White House.

SNIP

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without an ornament of legendary transvestite Hedda Lettuce.

SNIP

And, so soon after collecting the Nobel Peace Prize, why wouldn’t the White House have an ornament super-imposing President Obama onto Mt. Rushmore:

“I don’t think he wants anything to do with the U.S. as it is today (or was yesterday).”

I think both Dear Leader and Moosechelle made that screamingly obvious before the election - of the 53% who voted for him, a few actually wanted our country to be destroyed, and the rest were (and remain) stunningly clueless.

There is a gloss highlight on the ornaments in these photos, and there is clearly a thematic collage on each ornament. Think like a green leftist, 70's "decoupage" and recycling.

They found images in old magazines, newspapers and etcetera, pasted them physically onto the surface of the ornament, layering them, and then more or less shellacked the whole thing.

The person behind this all has long been controversial, and deliberately pushed the bounds of what is acceptable, you know, the whole juvenile "shock your parents" phase, that they never seem to grow out of. If jaded New Yorkers had a problem with his work on window displays, though, you know it was completely beyond the pale for normal people.

So, of course the Obama White House was drawn to that like flies on ... well, fill in the blank. I noticed a sort of ecological theme with the very first photo of the White House tree, with several on the tree in the background, behind the First Couple with Oprah Winfrey, looking like the planet Earth. These are no doubt from the same tree. Who knows what's on the side facing away from the camera.

If one of a kind ornaments presented to the White House were used for this and defaced, there should be a huge outcry, just as there should be for tasteless and deliberately offensive political imagery within the defacing of them. It's worse than grafitti. It's like one of those dubbed over American westerns from the Soviet Union, that replaced original dialogue with Communist propaganda. Matter of fact, it's part and parcel of the same mindset.

This past summer I was at a county fair community church service in South Dakota, and one of the town leaders got up to tell this joke.

There was this train with several cars of coal, one farmer asked the other where he thought it was going. The other one said, “They must be putting Obama on Mt. Rushmore”.

What was funny is she apologized “if there were any Democrats” in the house, not that the joke might be considered “off color”.

Simon Doonan Is an Obese Elf Living in a Palatial Gay Fantasia

“Talk of the Town” with Simon Doonan might trigger LSD flashbacks. Not that we would know. We’re just saying, proceed with caution: “’Palatial gay fantasia’ is how Simon Doonan described his apartment in Greenwich Village the other night, as he swept past two garden gnomes crouching under a bright-orange lacquered console in the foyer. ‘Glamorous romper room,’ he continued, heading toward a paisley-patterned Ping-Pong table in the living room. ‘Because Johnny and I are very infantile.’ Nesting on bookshelves and tabletops were scores of ceramic animals designed by Doonan’s spouse, the homeware baron Jonathan Adler. (’I’m just a simple potter!’ Adler insisted.) A burlap bust of Napoleon was tucked into the fireplace, and about a fifth of the room was taken up by a huge black statue of a foot.” Also: “Adler frequently refers to Doonan as an ‘obese elf.’”

Everybody start emailing and calling your Senator's office. Request that this abomination be removed for OUR HOUSE immediately!

My email I just sent:
I've just seen the ornaments that 0bama has on the White House Christmas Tree.

This denigration is such an insult. I am furious.

This is OUR HOUSE! This house represents US (or is supposed to), and I feel slighted, offended, and insulted.

Many Americans and our Allies, have fought, spilled blood, and died for our beliefs and those of our Countrymen and Allies.

These ornaments feature images of transvestites, Mao, and Mr. 0bama's face on Mt. Rushmore, just to name a few. Some of the images may be viewed here: http://biggovernment.com/2009/12/22/transvestites-mao-and-obama-decorate-white-house-christmas-tree/

I request that your office lodge an immediate complaint and request that these perversions be removed from MY HOUSE!

Sincerely.

This stench is directed at the celebration of the Messiahs birth. I'm not sure there are words that describe this disgusting display. “Vengence is mine, thus saith the Lord” may be the closest thing.

Seriously, we need to start a contest to describe the most idiotic, imbecile,or stupid action that Obama can do next.

I was going to recall how Bill Clinton was out of the country for 3/4ths of the July 4th's of his administration, but then I remembered that Obama invited the Iranian diplomats to the White House for a July 4 BBQ.

I'm guessing that the Obama White House will arrange some special event about Obama for the next Presidents Day holiday.

    • Weekly Standard, 29 Sept. 1997, "The Laogai Archipelago" by D. Aikman:
      • Between 1949 and 1997, 50M prisoners passed through the labor camps, and 15,000,000 died (citing Harry Wu)
    • WHPSI: 1,633,319 political executions and 25,961 deaths from political violence, 1948-77. TOTAL: 1,659,280
    • Analysis: If we line up the 14 sources which claim to be complete, the median falls in the 45.75 to 52.5 million range, so you probably can't go wrong picking a final number from this neighborhood. Depending on how you want to count some of the incomplete estimates (such as Becker and Meisner) and whether to count a source twice (or thrice, as with Walker) if it's referenced by two different authorities, you can slide the median up and down the scale by many millions. Keep in mind, however, that official Chinese records are hidden from scrutiny, so most of these numbers are pure guesses. It's pointless to get attached to any one of them, because the real number could easily be half or twice any number here.
    • Perhaps a better way of estimating would be to add up the individual components. The medians here are:
      • Purges, etc. during the first few years: 2M (10 estimates)
      • Great Leap Forward: 31-33M (14 estimates)
      • Cultural Revolution: 1M (13 estimates)
      • Ethnic Minorities, primarily Tibetans: 750-900T (8 estimates, see below)
      • Labor Camps: 20M (5 estimates)
      • This produces a total of some 54,750,000 to 56,900,000 deaths. The weak link in this calculation is in the Labor Camp numbers for which we only have 5 estimates.
    • Notice that many early body counts (such as Walker) completely miss the famine during the Great Leap Forward, which was largely unknown in the west until around 1980. There are two contradictory ways to assess those early estimates which ignore the famine:
      1. "If these are the numbers that they came up with without the famine, imagine how high the true number will be once you add the famine deaths."
      2. "Can we trust any of these numbers? After all, if they missed such a huge famine, they can't have known very much about what was going on inside China."
    • ... so this line of reasoning will get us nowhere. In fact, the median of the 7 estimate that predate 1980 is 45.7M, which is almost the same as the median of the 7 estimates that post-date 1980 -- 58M. (At this scale, a 12M difference counts as "almost the same".)
  2. Tibet (1950 et seq.): 600 000
    • Chinese occupation. (For the most part, it's already been included in the numbers above.)
      • Free Tibet Campaign [http://www.freetibet.org/info/facts/fact1.html]
        • Tibetans killed by the Chinese since 1950: 1,200,000
        • Died in prisons and labour camps between 1950 and 1984: up to 260,000
        • 1959 Uprising: 430,000 died
          • K. in Reprisals: 87,000
      • Our Times: 1,200,000
      • Courtois: 600,000 - 1,200,000
      • Walker, Robert: 500,000-1,000,000 (all ethnic minorities)
      • Rummel: 375,000 democides inflicted on etnic minorities
        • ... incl 150,000 Tibetans
      • Porter: 100,000 to 150,000.
      • Eckhardt:
        • 1950-51 War: 2,000 civ.
        • 1956-59 Revolt: 60,000 civ. + 40,000 mil. = 100,000
      • Harff and Gurr: 65,000 Tibetan nationalists, landowners, Buddhists killed, 1959
      • Small & Singer say that China lost 40,000 soldiers in Tibet between 1956 and '59.

Oh, yeah, I just want, so badly, to honor this animal with a place in MY house. NOT!
