I was a “Santa Tracker” Christmas ‘68,,,
25th.ADA at McChord,AFB,,,(Blue Room),,,
We played it like a crew drill,,,
All had open phone lines to family and friends so the kids
could hear the PA system,,,
I let Santa through the ADIZ with his fighter “escort”

I heard an ugly rumor that the US Post Office is no longer delivering letters addressed to “Santa Claus, North Pole” to the little Alaskan Village that has made it their mission in life to answer the letters to the children or our beleaguered nation.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.....PLEASE.

Egg Nog Recipe
1/2 gal Egg Nog
12 oz. Brandy
6 oz. Light Rum
6 oz. White Creme de Cocoa
Mix in suitable container and add Nutmeg to flavor

The dad goes out into their field with a deer rack and red covered flashlight. Close to bedtime.
The kids are told Rudolf arrives just before Santa to make sure kids are nestled in bed. So kids keep running to the windows to see if they can see Rudolf. Parents are very much apart of this excitement.
Dad stands out in field..holds deer rack over his head, holds flash light in front and moves his head up and down like a reindeer might. He's far enough out the kids only see the red flashlight (nose)...and shadow of the deer rack. But they think it”s rudolf!!!!
I was visiting there when the excitement started...little kids giggling, parents encouraging and watching their kids just get so excited. They could not set still. Big alarm clock nearby to sound off the appointed time...
Suddenly one of kids yelled...I see him!!!!!! All pressed their faces to the window and shouted..Oh my gosh, he's really there!!! Oh Oh Oh!! running thru the house... and quickly got in bed...
I never saw anything so cute as seeing these kids put themselves to bed!..even with all the excitement they went quickly to sleep, because they are told if children are not in bed, Rudolf sends Santa a signal that these children are not in bed.
The dad loves this roll and looks forward to this every year. One year it rained very hard..he slipped and fell...came in later full of mud! Ha Ha! but he pulled it off!
