"Yes, we'll hear an earful," Reid added, "but it will be an earful of wonderment and happiness." Bloody hell...

If I understand this correctly, 30 million people will now be forced to buy health coverage or be fined 750. This forced insurance will cost 876 billion or 29200 per uninsured person.

Sorry Harry, you stinking, reeking turd. All joy and happiness in America is gone, thanks to you.
Joy and happiness will happen after some pretty dark times until you communist vipers are removed and jailed for treason against the Republic.

I guess this proves that the human capacity for self-delusion is virtually limitless

The answer to your question is yes. If the conference committe changes the Senate bill in any way, , when it comes back to the Senate, there must be a cloture requiring 60 votes before a final vote. On the other hand, if the House chooses to rubber stamp the Senate Bill (meaning no changes), the Senate will not even have to vote on it.

This smacks of whistling past the graveyard for the Dems.
I was listening to Pat Caddell speaking with Mark Simone sitting in for Sean Hannity earlier this week.
He was saying that he has never seen the depth of antipathy towards the health care "Reform" bill and the Democrats.
He also said that the Dems have no clue how bad this will hurt them in the 2010 elections.
Mark is a middle of the road guy and was very taken aback by the strength of Pat Caddell's comments.

Yes he does. For about half the population, he is correct.

“Reid said will now have health coverage and said that Democrats will indeed hear an earful — “an earful of joy and happiness.”
If they think we will great this with joy and happiness how do they think we are going great cap & trade, with euphoria?

Important to remember that Hitler was elected by popular vote.
The people were tired of the old ways, and looked forward to change.

And they’ll continue to pay the taxes. Because if you don’t pay the taxes to support this, you are “stealing from us all” and “shirking your patriotic duty” and avoiding your “moral duty” and not contributing to “charity”.
Don’t ever stop paying your taxes. It’s not like slavery, or anything.
