I saw this on Stacy McCain's blog The Other McCain. I think it has to be done.

Calling all red blooded, Patriotic Americans!

It’s time for another march on Washington DC.

On the date of the State of the Union address, January 20, 2010.

On this day, a joint session of Congress, the President of the United States, his entire cabinet, the Supreme Court and the Joint Chiefs of Staff...plus distinguished guests will be in attendance.

You want media coverage? All major broadcast and cable networks will be there to broadcast the event.

This is the most strategically advantageous opportunity for Patriotic Americans to hold a demonstraion against an out of control government that's trashing our Constituion.

This march needs to dwarf the size of the crowd that showed up on 9/12/2009. We need to surround the Capitol Building.

Who’s sick and tired of being ignored?

It’s time for a second Declaration of Independence!

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

It’s time for us to tell these Marxist bastards that we don’t consent to what they’re doing, and we therefore no longer recognize them as the legitimate government of We the People!

Spread the word! Make it happen! If not now, when?

Peaceful, non-violent protest, by the way.

Personally I’m not quite ready for “we therefore no longer recognize them as the legitimate government” but we’re rapidly approaching that cliff, I fear—unless our elected representatives start REPRESENTING us, rather than RULING us.

We do need to put the electoral Fear of God into them. If now now, when?

We The People must be heard in Washington, D.C.

WHY?... it would be ignored the way the current one is ignored..
Since a big part of the Constitution is itself ignored a 2nd constitution would also be SILLY...

We could also write a 2nd Bible and a second version of campaign promises too..
WHY not?.. the sheeple cant remember last week let alone last month..

Talking about RE-Starts the 2nd amendment makes REVOLUTION LEGAL...

I think a guerrilla campaign would work better than a march. Marching in lockstep didn’t work for the Brits during the first Revolutionary war, and has failed to influence the current bunch.

The tactics of the Swamp Fox, Francis Marion, may prove more beneficial.

The time is coming nigh.

If another declaration of independence is needed, what does this say about the first one? Is it really antiquated?

If all that has been happening in the last year with the tea parties and the protests and the polling numbers were not enough to persuade lawmakers to “back off”, then what is another march on Washington going to accomplish?

We don’t need a new declaration... we need to stand up for the original one. Protests can only change the votes of our representatives... and our own votes are being nullified by fraud funded by the federal government.

No... it’s not time for a new declaration. It’s time for a new revolution... which does not necessarily have to involve the second ammendment... yet.

Not sure about that anymore. The first march on DC was peaceful and non-violent, and it got ignored. I think Jefferson’s tree is indeed in need of refreshment.

imo - a better course of action is to get busy with state government and push for nullification. Efforts have begun in several states.

Washington is a waste of time and resources.

The first march, and I was there, was on a Saturday. We protested in an empty city. The next one will be during the week when they are all there and we will CLOSE THAT CITY DOWN. They will HAVE TO ADDRESS US. If it becomes violent? So be it...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Still, the Congresscritters need to get several earfuls, both during the Christmas break, and every day thereafter until they get the message.

How about a National Day Of Protest for Jan. 20? Don't open your business, don't go to work, don't go to school, don't do anything. Go on strike for the day. Gather your friends and neighbors together instead and talk about why this country exists, and should we really become just another European Union socialist state?

No. The original Declaration and Constitution work quite nicely, until they are IGNORED by the left. Therefore it is time for a Second AMERICAN REVOLUTION, complete with tens of millions of armed participants, marching on DC, throwing our current “legislators” from office and reclaiming our nation and our liberty. Electing more limp-wristed, spineless, sell-outs from the republican party will NOT be of any use. We can overthrow the thugs and tyrants in DC, or become their slaves. No other choices exist.

The States can remove the Federal Government and replace it. Control your states and you control the Feds. All the people can do is vote them out of office and hope the power structure changes. The question I have is will it ever change unless they are all run out of office? The only other way is to take all the money away from them. States could stop sending them money and people can stop paying their taxes.

I think this is a great idea but first we all have to focus on getting the info out to the people so they’ll show up. Dems want to let the noise die down so they can shove it through right after the address, we have to stop them.

That date has been my wish all along!!!! Good. I also think a massive shoe toss(we could have a game of it ;-), distance, most creative, etc. They called us teabaggers before when we showed up with tea, what will they call us when shoes are tossed on the Capitol steps???

You may recall that throwing inanimate objects is not unprecedented..I distinctly remember a certain Mass. Senator tossing his ‘medals’ over the wall in protest.

Come on, people, all this chest-puffing about revolution and such is still premature.

We need to protest, loudly, at every possible opportunity.

We need to organize to have patriots for liberty win the 2010 elections. We need to be talking to our friends and neighbors, explaining why this country was founded, how wonderfully that has worked, and how we are now straying from that path—to our ruin.

We need to volunteer to election boards to work the elections, to try to keep ACORN from stealing the 2010 election—we all know that they’re planning to do exactly that. If they succeed, that’s the point where this country will become tinderbox ready to ignite. We need to work hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.

We need to stand for election—to school boards, county commissions, dog-catcher, anything.

The problem is that up until now, conservatives mainly just talk. Socialists plan, organize, and act. That’s why they keep being able to push freedom back and back and back.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves just yet.

Protest now. Organize now. Work now. So that more drastic solutions are not necessary later.

Merry Christmas, everyone—and remember that tomorrow we celebrate the birth of a man we call the Prince of Peace.

So, Peace to all of you. For a New Year’s Resolution, Let’s talk less and do more next year to defend American values.

You’re exactly right- all these pleas to ‘start a new constitution’ or whatever will go nowhere because of hte reason you stated- but our present constitution not only says that a revolution is legal, but it’s a RESPONSIBILITY of the people when our government gets out of control- shirking their oaths to hte people

Surround the dam buildings and don’t let them in is a nice opinion.

Block every road and make it stick for 24 hrs. is another opinion.

We’ll know by spring if CWII is needed.

Excellenyt points EV- That’s eaxactly what the GOP shopul;d have been doing all along- and I’d liek to ad that they should put in a pledge that IF any member of congress fails to fulfill the above pledges, that they will resign their position, and that it’s the responsibility of al lthe other GOP members to keep an eye on each other to make sure everyone is upholding hteir pledge.

The problem is htough, that congress has so degraded in the honesty department, that dirty politics are now the norm. We need another Ted Roosevelt with a large stick to go through and clean this whole stinking swamp up- someoen who will NOT shirk their responsibilities to the people

There should be an agreement that if anyone does not agree to the points you lay out, that they are thrown from hte party- the problem is that the fundamental principles of hte republicans has been so obscured by ‘degrees’ that it’s becoming almost impossible to tell who is what anymore- Far right, centrist, left of center, and myriad positions inbetween

It’s time to redefine who a republican is and what the republican party stands for

What we really need is more and more people getting angry enough to actually start DOING something about it.

I do think we’re moving in that direction, albeit slowly. Get enough people involved - writing letters to the editors, to their Congressmen, getting involved in marches and protest groups, swamping town hall meetings, etc, and you will see real change start to happen.

Until then, and until enough people get up off their butts and get involved, we’ll just see more of the same crap from Washington.

What are you going to do different?

Unless we believe that elections have become so corrupt that we can’t win elections, then any independence from the current system is a move away from freedom.

Yes there is corruption. Congressmen and senators are on the take for campaign contributions if not outright bribes. The MSM has been taken over by liberals and gays and Muslims.

But the battle has to be one in the hearts and minds of the citizenry. They must understand why we can’t allow that and vote the corruption out. The citizenry needs to start understanding character and freedom and conservative principles.

I would be more than happy to take however long out of my very busy schedule to make such a trip to DC. The only string attached - someone needs to pay my way. I am willing to drive, if my gas and lodging are paid for (if it wasn’t going to be cold, I would sleep in my vehicle).

But $$$ is a huge issue. And I have no doubts that this is exactly what our administration WANTS... Screw with the economy enough and no-one will be able to afford to go stand up for freedom and truth in DC.

The Left thought it great that an Iraqi reporter threw a shoe at Bush, I’m just advoccating their example to our current leadership. I’m just saying that John effin wasn’t arrested for throwing medals, no one should be for doing the same with shoes.

If outraged Americans all across the country went on a national strike and shut the entire country down for even just one or two days, then maybe the politicians might just start to sit up and take notice. If they still ignore us, we will lengthen the strike for a longer period of time, shutting down the entire country and make it come to a complete stop. Just like in THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.

you’re not beign a scrooge- you’re just stating the plain truth- Congress IS NOT LISTENING- and worse yet, they are spitting in our faces and telling us to shut the %^$% up.

Perhaps- but the first line of defense NEEDS to be settign hte law upon these criminals in congress for violating hte constitution and thwarting the iwll of hte people and for their thuggish responses by sending in SEIU- someoen gave hte order, someone ok’d their actions, and we need to find out who and prosecute them. This administration is endangering hte welfare of the citizens of htis coutnry by recklessly wasting and throwing away OUR money by sending it to third world countries based on an agenda that has been PROVEN to be a fraud. This is a VERY serious issue- and many people ARE goign to needlessly suffer because of the artificially high prices of energy and produce that this fraud will cause, and that action is a direct assault on we the people by those who were elected to PROTECT us from such fraud.

Children will go hungry, suffer health problems because their folsk can’t afford proper food because of the fact that energy prices, produce prices, etc will be too high, and this apaprently doesn’t bother anyone in congress. As well, congress’ reckless spending to bail out businesses using OUR money, then NOT giving that money back to those our govenrment STOLE it from, is also putting people and familes at risk- especially future familes which will be stuck with hte bills. Most of hte money that was suppsoed to go to recovery, instead eneded up in state coffers, causing unecessary suffering in the states they were meant to help- those hwo stole them oney and didn’t use it to help the state shoudl be prosecuted as well for violating hteir oath to those who elected them

It’s time the corruption in govenrment is FULLY exposed, and hte criminals running our states be exposed and held accountable for violating our trust!

I would like to see ALL Republicans (House and Senate) put up a continual chorus of “You Lie” throughout the State of the Union address. No breaks, drown him out. Keep it up until the last voice is removed from the floor and all that is left are the Donks.

Where was all this outrage and talk of “revolution” and writing another Declaration while President Bush and the Republican controlled Congress squashed our rights and spent at the fastest clip to date at the time?

Having the Repulicans shouting “you lie!” would be quite ironic given all the lying they did to us about how they were for smaller government.
