Federal officials and police are interviewing a man, believed to be Nigerian, who allegedly was trying to "explode" a powdery substance aboard a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, injuring himself and two other passengers, law enforcement officials said.

Its not politically correct to use the terms Muslim and explosive in the same sentence in our new state controlled media. An unknown youth was merely playing with some harmless fireworks on a plane, now move along.
The shoe bomber tried to bring down an airliner on this same date.........if I am not mistaken.
2 Quick points.
1) If he is on the no fly list, why is he flying??
2) He must be a foreigner or he would have picked a city that still had people living in it where some actual damage would have occurred
Yeah, they will do nothing until there is an incident worse than 9/11. Then all the politicos in DC will join hands and swear another incident will never happen again. Six months later it be business as usual in DC. My hope is if there is another attack like 9/11, they target DC. It is only when the politicos are directly threatened will they take any definitive action to prevent another attack.
Update:
The man said he was directed by al Qaeda to explode a small device in flight, over U.S. soil, ABC News has learned. Authorities have no corroboration of that information, and the credibility of the suspect’s statements are being questioned, officials said.
The man was apparently already on the government’s no-fly list of suspected terrorists, according to a senior intelligence official.
“The subject is claiming to have extremist affiliation and that the device was acquired in Yemen along with instructions as to when it should be used,” a federal situational awareness bulletin stated.

The interesting thing is that things never stay the same.
The near future will not look like today. The question is, what will be different, and how different. Eventually this WILL hit critical mass of some sort.

This failed bomber was a muslim who was on the US no-fly list.

And they didn’t screen for explosive devices/carried by Muslims for WHAT reasons?
They are too busy giving the third degree to ancient, wheelchair bound old ladies.
Second degree burns which police claim is “consistent with a small fireworks device” is more than what a passenger would get from simple firecrackers. And three passengers were injured. The nature of the other passengers’ injuries are not reported.
Somebody needs to be fired over this; and somebody’s boss.
