The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, released Thursday, shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16 (see trends).

As of Dec 18th:

Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter and Republican challenger Pat Toomey are deadlocked 44 - 44 percent in Pennsylvania's marquee 2010 U.S. Senate race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. President Barack Obama's job approval in this pivotal swing state remains below 50 percent at 49 - 45 percent.

This is good news actually. I think Toomey really has to hammer Specter on first his flip-flop, and then the terrible votes he's made that will hurt Pennsylvanians.

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard “we have to pay for health outcomes” but no one ever challenges what that means.

If the patient dies, does the doctor not get paid?

It is another airey-fairey utopian idea that “good” doctors will have “healthier” patients.
In reality, sometimes having a healthy patient takes doing nothing; sometimes it takes serious, lengthy, expensive interventions. Sometimes patients die. But our addle-brained utopians ‘believe’ that a committee of bureaucrats can judge how much a doctor can earn by the “outcomes’ of his patients.

That same idea works really well for public school teachers, too!

Janet Napolitano's primary concern is to protect Muslims from prejudice. If Americans die traveling traveling for business or vacation - it's just NOT a problem. ...

Switch this for a minute - pretend it's the Branch Dividians - and David Koresh is still with us. Would Janet and "Meet the Press" see it differently?

Say that Koresh's followers are getting on airplanes and trying to blow up the planes... Do you think for a minute that every American would be forced into the kind of Airport Security we have? Do you think Janet Napolitano's highest concern would be that "Davidians" not suffer a backlash? If it was a right wing evangelical group - Janet and dems wouldn't let them fly. And they sure as hell wouldn't be pretending the 50th Dividian was a "lone wolf". They'd be on this like white on rice.
