Atlantic Editor Lauds Lack of Obama Public Response to Terrorist

Remember how outraged the left became when Michael Moore's movie, Fahrenheit 9/11, showed President George W. Bush not issuing a public statement on the Twin Tower attacks for several minutes until after the school children finished reading the Pet Goat story? Well, it is now almost two days since the Nigerian terrorist working at the behest of Al Qaeda attempted to blow up a passenger jet and still no public response from the current president, Barack Obama.

According to the associate editor of The Atlantic, Marc Ambinder, the reason for Obama's lack of response is that it is part of some sort of brilliant strategy:

There is a reason why Obama hasn't given a public statement. It's strategy.

For Ambinder it seems no public response is really part of some sort of brilliant secret strategy...if the president happens to be a Democrat. And when a Republican president responds within minutes, the explanation is "panic and anger."

So when the president responds to the tea party protests about his health care bill it's ....

Classic Obama Blame Somebody Else——

In this case the terrorist’s Father gets blamed-—

“””U.S. authorities told The Associated Press that the suspect came to the attention of intelligence officials in November when his father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, went to the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, to discuss his concerns about his son’s religious beliefs. One government official said the father did not have any specific information that would put his son on the “no-fly list” or on the list for additional security checks at the airport. Nor was the information sufficient to revoke Abdulmutallab’s visa to visit the United States. It was granted in June 2008 and valid through June 2010.””””

Oh Cmon, like he is really gonna come out and say:

I know a lot of you people think this was an attempted terrorist attack, but it wasn’t. this is nothing more than one of my Muslim brother attempting to practice his chosen religion of Islam. The very idea that these people who attacked this man on the plane are somehow heroes is ridiculous. This was a blatant attack on a Muslim for practicing his religion. I can assure you that AG Holder is looking into this Religious Persecution by the other passengers on the plane, and I would expect Religious Discrimination charges to be filed against Those passengers that violently attacked this young Muslim for merely attempting to honor his religion. This sort of religious bigotry has got to stop, we need to open up the lines of communication with these people so as to understand and feel their pain that we Americans are the cause of there unfortunate situation.

Why would Obama issue a condemnation for this attempt to murder innocent Americans when the action furthers his aims?

Nobody ever seriously tried to make the claim that Barack Obama had any intention, as president, to protect the country and treat terrorism as what it is: combat action in an ongoing war.

The more terrorism in America and the more dead Americans from terrorism, the more quickly America is brought to her knees and the faster a socialist totalitarian system can be implemented worldwide with the United States neatly destroyed and out of the way.

I don't expect to hear any statements from Obama about this nor do I expect any serious, concrete action to be taken to prevent any other terrorist acts of war in this country.

Terrorism in America benefits Barack Obama and the people who installed him in the presidency. Nothing will be done to stop it.

Duh. It finally dawned on me why the terrorist waited until the plane was clearly getting ready to land. He wanted the debris to plunge into a heavily populated area.

No, beware the cover up. We knew about him and he was on a list two years ago. Also, Dad reported him to us back in June.

When he does find the time to mention it, no doubt we will get a lecture on the importance of not giving up on diversity.

It’s all Bush’s fault that Zero hasn’t commented yet. First, he has to ask himself, what would George do? WWGD?

As we all know – thanks to being told so by successive administrations — Islam is the religion of peace*. Thanks to the actions of one brave passenger — who fully understood that he had nothing to lose — this incident remained a small one.

Thanks to PC and the chronic disease known as “Cranial Anal Inversion Syndrome” among most alleged American “leaders” all the way up to the White Mosque — er — House, this “small” incident — and all like it in the future — will disappear down the Orwellian memory hole.

I suspect the primary cause of the failure to put this guy – and only God knows how many more — on a no-fly list is that the folks down the food chain and on the ground who are SUPPOSED to keep these MUSLIM idiots off commercial flights are severely conflicted. On one hand, they are tasked to keep flying safe. On the other, they’ve all had multiple memos and “sensitivity sessions” stressing that they MUST NOT PROFILE but be especially alert to the feelings of Muslims. Any actions taken against them MUST be fully justified and documented. The vernacular expression dealing with that is “CYA.” And so they do — while the rest of us die or, thanks to the actions of a passenger, have a very close call on approach to Detroit.

Compounding the problem is that this particular miscreant was not only a Muslim but a black guy from Nigeria. And the American president is _________ (fill in the correct color) and, having been born to a Muslim father and raised in a Muslim country, sympathetic to the religion of _________. (fill in the appropriate term).

The response to this near-tragedy? Fatherland Security now keeps passengers in their seats for the last hour of the trip!! Great! I suspect sales of Depends will soon spike. Now these folks will die at 35,000 feet and the wreckage will be strewn over hundreds of square miles making it virtually impossible to determine if it WAS an act of mass murder by (select one) an angry Norwegian, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, a Muslim nutcase. A few more of these and the air travel industry will be COMPLETELY dead.

By their INACTION and persistence in their denial that we are at war with a determined and dedicated enemy, these alleged “leaders” have 100% guaranteed that the next one will NOT be “small.”
* BTW, “peace” has two definitions:
1. The absence of conflict or war.
2. The ABSENCE or SUPPRESSION OF RESISTANCE TO SOME FORCE, POLICY, IDEOLOGY or POLITICAL SYSTEM, etc. WITH WHICH ONE HAS AN ABIDING DISAGREEMENT WHICH ONE WOULD OTHERWISE ATTEMPT TO DEFEAT TO THE POINT OF TAKING UP ARMS.

But an in-person Obama statement isn't needed; Indeed, a message expressing command, control, outrage and anger might elevate the importance of the deed, would generate panic (because Obama usually DOESN'T talk about the specifics of cases like this, and so him deciding to do so would cue the American people to respond in a way that exacerbates the situation...

In a sense, [Obama] is projecting his calm on the American people, just as his advisers are convinced that the Bush Administration projected their panic and anger on the self-same public eight years ago.

So, this is what passes for intelligent thought on the left nowadays?

What it really amounts to is a tortured excuse for doing nothing.

He didn’t come out after the Arkansas recruiter shooting either. I guess there was no white on black issues to instigate.
