My understanding is that it is against federal law for the passengers to get involved in such disturbances.

Perhaps this is inaccurate though.

If it is accurate, screw ‘em.

I read they have a new rule that passengers cannot get up from their seats in the last hour, which would have prevented passengers from interfering with this guy.

What “system worked”? Did they have some device that made the guy screw up when he built his device, so it didn’t explode?

Because otherwise, it seems that the only thing that stopped the first successful terror attack since 9/11 was the failure of the perp to correctly build his bomb.
