Minnesota’s next U.S. Marshal will be Minneapolis’ openly gay Assistant Police Chief Sharon Lubinski. Her confirmation by the U.S. Senate was announced Monday morning by Minnesota Democrat Amy Klobuchar, who recommended her.
Lubinkski was formally nominated for the post in October by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate in a flurry of pre-holiday legislative activity last week.

She must be qualified as she won unanimous support in the Judiciary Committee and apparently had no opposition in the vote of the full Senate.

If she weren’t “openly” gay then how would anyone even know of it?
I agree 100%. What she does in her own time is not my business. This position is not a policy making position which I would have more concerns about.
Oh, and I thought, just for a moment, it might have been a male gay. Then I realized that for a male gay to take this job he’d have to act like a man.
Sorry, I don’t really care about this. If the woman does her job, fine. If she doesn’t, then fire her.
I’ve known and worked with gay people who are competent and decent...and I’ve worked with straight people who are irresponsible idiots.
We needn’t get worked up over this. Judge people’s work ethic by...their work ethic, not their sexual choice.
Obviously if this person were in constant contact with children or other vulnerable populations, it’d be a different situation. Prisoners, I suppose, might be considered “vulnerable”, but with the disease and other problems rampant in that community, I doubt this is a real risk.

I don't know if that isn't what is going on. In fact, my gut feeling is that it is exactly why she was nominated and confirmed. However, it may be that manly jobs like law enforcement and the military probably draw wannabe men - like this lesbian - in droves.
Appointing LIC’s (Lesbians in Charge) is all the rage in lefty circles. You’ll find them as big city police and fire chiefs, high up in state police and fire forces, etc.

Minneapolis used to have the first openly-gay firechief. Until it was discovered that she wasn’t qualified for the job. That she got the job because she was a lesbian and MPLS wanted to be the first one to have one.
It’s all about being first.
Also, she got caught sleeping around with some of the other female firefighters. Her girlfriend, a firefighter accused her of sexual discrimination.
I am so tired of being hit with meaningless sexual preference information when it makes no difference to the topic at hand.
That’s why it’s called an ‘agenda’....
