Gitmo recidivism comes back to bite us directly.
Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans. American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an "art therapy rehabilitation program" and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.
An "art therapy rehabilitation program." Yes, you read that right.
Guantanamo prisoner #333, Muhamad Attik al-Harbi, and prisoner #372, Said Ali Shari, were sent to Saudi Arabia on Nov. 9, 2007, according to the Defense Department log of detainees who were released from American custody. Al-Harbi has since changed his name to Muhamad al-Awfi. Both Saudi nationals have since emerged in leadership roles in Yemen, according to U.S. officials and the men's own statements on al Qaeda propaganda tapes.
Both of the former Guantanamo detainees are described as military commanders and appear on a January, 2009 video along with the man described as the top leader of al Qaeda in Yemen, Abu Basir Naser al-Wahishi, formerly Osama bin Laden's personal secretary.

Sheesh - ‘Captain Underpants’ was a really lousy art project. We are sooooo lucky these idiots are so stupid.
Who's the "stupidest"? ...and in what order?

I don’t know if this is true but I would not doubt it is.
After all, we are a nation that seems to pride itself on the fact that we give child rapists a second chance.
It seems clear the terrorists should have been given “politically correct” late term abortions. But abortions for terrorists is a bad idea for liberals, while late term abortions for innocent babies is cheered by liberals. The only conclusion is that liberals worship evil in the same way their hero Saul Alinsky dedicated “Rules for Radicals” to Lucifer.
Hmmm. I’m not sure exactly how to quantify or qualify that one. I’m just thankful that (so far) many of the attempts have been unsuccessful due to utter ineptness of the clowns involved. I know, they have managed to pull off several successful attacks, but even those could have been much, much worse if those involved in the planning and execution had the cleverness and intelligence of our average engineering student.
Don’t get me wrong - I am by no means saying that we should rely on this continuing to be the case. I have repeatedly said that we need to be better and smarter in our response to this crap.
It was my understanding that the people who left the Club Gitmo
resort, did so at the behest of The ACLU. Am I wrong to assume they left as a result of the numerous lawsuits filed by the ACLU??
Jihad Watch does it again. Connecting the dots.
Art therapy...they must be laughing their bleeding asses off at us....
Well, I am certainly not surprised by any of this...
But I am of the opinion that if the system wasn’t broke to begin with, why screw with it because someone thinks someone else would be offended by us keeping these scumbags alive in a fairly secure place...
Apparently the only folks offended by this who are supposedly on our side are the democrats...
I wonder why??? (rhetorical comment)
We’ll soon find out that when you try to be nice to these people like Holder and the President want to be...And they are given their day in court, and they make a mockery and somehow gain credibility (worldwide)...Then what???
To be thrown back into prison, wherever the hell that’s going to be??? Or released???
hehehe, like I’ve said before, they think the American public is angry now...Standby...
We’ve been lucky so far, I seriously doubt the lucky streak is going to last with all this going on...
But hey, there was a majority of stupid people that voted this lot into office...I certainly will not shed many tears for the candle light vigils and memorials in the future, knowing they set this up to happen all along...
But I guess I am not really being all that sensitive about any of this...I’m sorry if some are offended, but I just can’t say there is anything positive about this...
I was reading some of their cases tonight..regarding the Patriot Act, Homeland Security Profiling etc...spot on!!
