Shuster: Baucus Sober, Drudge 'Repulsive'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 12/29/2009 1:40:01 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Wow: David Shuster really lets it all hang out on Twitter . . .

In current tweets, the MSNBCer accuses Karl Rove of "hypocrisy," calls conservatives "wingnuts," claims Baucus wasn't wasted, and denounces Drudge as "repulsive" for supposedly suggesting otherwise.

Excerpts from Shuster's current Twitter feed [screencap after the jump]:

* Thank you Wingnuts! By mentioning my tweets, you are bringing more attention to @karlrove hypocrisy * Wingnuts, just because you want to believe something is true does not make it so. Obama wasn't born in Kenya. Baucus wasn't inebriated. * Baucus speech was at 430pm in the afternoon. He was incensed at Wicker. He was emotional. To smear him, as drudge does, is repulsive. * Re Baucus emotional floor speech last week: He always speaks in a halting fashion. The wingnut claims are lies and disgusting smears.

Wow, not only do reporters selectively disclose facts to shape the news, but now David Shuster is taking it a step further and telling us that what we see with our own eyes is not to be believed. The video feed clearly shows that Bachus is impaired.

I’m also intrigued by his use of this phrase “wingnuts.” The only people that I hear using the term are... well.. wingnuts.

Shuster is to Obama what Lewinsky was to Clinton.

Shuster is an execrable individual. And come to think of it, he’s almost never on Morning Joe anymore. Wonder why...

Dear David,
Just because you want to believe something is not true, doesn’t mean it isn’t.

Obama’s father was a British subject, thus he is not a “natural-born citizen.”

Baucus was either drunk, on drugs, or has an impediment.

Drudge’s use of all-caps is indeed repulsive.

OH..4:30 in the afternoon..I mean, NOBODY gets drunk before 4:30 in the afternoon!!! LOL!!! Meanwhile, Baucus can go on and say the most outrageous lies about Republicans, but heaven forbid we should accuse this Dem of being drunk. I truly, truly hate these people.

Schuster is like a 14-year old girl texting her “bff”.

“Shuster is like a 14-year old girl texting her “bff”.”

Exactly: only slightly less mature ;-)

I changed my tagline for bozo's like you Schuster. Observe:

"Ked Tennedy would have been plowed... I mean, proud today..." - Senator Max Baucus (Drunk-MT)

Larry Sinclair is willing to testify under oath about his passionate bromance with the boy marxist.

OK, Shuster.How’s this?

At some point in the future, on a date of our choosing, Baucus agrees to blow into a Breathalyzer on the Senate floor. If he declines, he automatically resigns his seat.

Deal?

I'm inclined to accept the explanation offered by Baucus' office: It's impossible to determine whether of not Baucus is drunk by merely observing his behavior and listening to his speech.
