They did the same thing to Katherine in Florida. This is why we have Bill Nelson and also why I will not mind staying home the next election if they don’t field a Conservative candidate.

Against my better judgement, I voted for Mc Cain against obama in 2008. I have not felt right about voting for Mc Cain since and made myself a promise that I was not going to vote against someone again.

True though that may be, he can deny Ried his 60th vote on zero healthcare. That alone should be blasted on every radio and TV in every home in this country!

Yeah he is a bit weak on some conservative issues, but Coakley is more progressive than pelosi.

I have been saying for MONTHS, long before the Deedee Scozzafava ‘affair’ that the biggest obstacles to getting rid of the RINOs and getting someone in office to put up a REAL challenge to Democrats will be THE RNC!! THE GOP will prove to be a more formidable opponent and obstacle than the DEMS!!! Everything I have predicted is coming true!
ANd it wasn’t rocket science to be able to see it!
Michael Steele would just be satisfied to “compete”, as he’s put it, NOT win!!

Hey Texas...according to the article, it's the National Republican Senatorial Committee that's not giving any help...different than RNC...I read the article and it claims that "hundreds of thousands of dollars" went to Weld and Romney, but a quick review of the NRSC's payouts since 2000 shows that they have not given more than $35,000 to a single candidate in a cycle...seems a little odd...no way to factcheck the article...

Also, as of mid-November, the Dem had raised $4,000,000...Borwn had raised only $450,000...how much cash infusion would help??...magritte

It is exactly that intra-party challenge for which Palin is especially suited and proven. DeMint gets credit for going to battle with the party as well, but otherwise there are precious few others—and Palin is the one who is nationally electable.

Brown’s website is http://brownforussenate.com/ and the general election I believe is Jan 16th a mere month after the primary which was held mid November.

Brown is running into the entrenched political hackery which is why when guys like Brown run. Try and get some support from the local committee chairs but never will. But by pass them going directly through GOP local precinct judges of election for one thing the lists of which should be obtained through those same chairs.

Above all resort to distributing printed material house to house precinct to precinct and not just rely on a website to get the word out.

The printed material; 3pieces DOES CONGRESS KNOW WHAT ITS DOING?... HERE ARE SOME UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES... should attack past and previous dumb laws, starting with the CFB’s. Citing the state regulations (presented in the public interest)on the disposal of the compact fluorescent bulb mandated by congress, then go on to lead content laws and what ever. Distribute these in key precincts which are carried by the opposition....Why ? Lower the turnout...

With other pieces work the precincts which go for you, use pole signs bumper stickers whatever, let em know your running. Most of this stuff is in my website on campaigns

Interesting that Mitt Romney neither ran for Senator himself,
nor would help the GOP candidate.

The RNC Is useless! Just when they should be gearing up 2010
it appears that they have fallen back to sleep at the switch. They do not inspire a whole lot of confidence now do they!?

Massachusetts, politically , is a cancerous lesion on the back side if America. A perfect example of what America cannot afford to become!

If they put up a bunch of RINO’s and fail to support conservatives, we could very well lose the 2010 election.

Mitt Romney ran against Ted Kennedy in the early 90s. He almost won.

You would think the GOP would go on the offensive in prep for 2010. The national GOP is a joke. If they want to take back the house or senate in 2010, they sure have a funny way of showing it huh??? Thank goodness there are grassroots conservatives who still care doing the work despite of the GOP.

Is Freerepublic.com set up to accomplish those type of things?

Scott Brown has a money bomb coming up (I think). Freerepublic might think about taking a page from the Ron Paul playbook.

If it wasn’t “Scott Brown” running for Senate in Mass, but “Ron Paul”, I can tell you what types of things the Ron Paul supporters would be engaged in.

People would make Youtube videos. I would imagine an effective youtube video would make clear the stakes of the race. 59 vs 60.

There would be a website called “Scott Brown money bomb” The URL would be scottbrownmoneybomb.com. There would be an easy way to contribute $ through that site (paypal would be an option).

The youtube videos would make reference to the scott brown money bomb.

People would be encouraged to vote up, or favorite, or do whatever good thing you can do with youtube clips, so that more people would see and hear about scott brown.

Same thing with digg and reddit and other sites.

Whenever an article is written about Scott Brown, many people will go on there and comment on the article.

Etc etc.

But Freerepublic has been around for 10+ years and really isn’t designed to be a point place for that sort of thing.

Someone(s) in Massachusetts can achieve some of those objectives, and skip youtube hyping, digg and reddit hyping, and focus on freerepublic.

1) Make a youtube video saying “save the nation from Obama, give $ to the Scott Brown money bomb.”

2) Post that link all over the place here, be all annoying like.

3) Set up the scottbrownmoneybomb.com site. Embed that youtube video and a couple other youtube videos in that site. Make it super easy to give money to Scott Brown.

4) Post that link all over the place here.

5) Look, look, look for any story regarding or mentioning Scott Brown. That’s a new thread. Post the youtube video link and the Scott Brown money bomb link.

I also think there should be a little subset of the Brown / Kennedy campaign that makes good professional signs that say “Kennedy for US Senate” and those signs should be all over the place in Democrat areas on election day.

There’s a good chance that Kennedy could drop the ball on this. Kennedy should go to Brown and say “hey guys, you know I don’t really have the staff to put signs up, you think you could put my signs up in Southie or whereever you think it could help stop Coakley”

If Kennedy didn’t do that, someone with deep pockets could theoretically tt Brown and drop off a bunch of pro signs.
