Moderate Senate Democrats have begun urging the White House to give up on a cap-and-trade climate change bill in 2010, according to Politico.

Senator Mary Landrieu (D-La.) is one of at least a half-dozen who do not want to take up the divisive issue in an election year after the battle over health care legislation has split voters.

I’m reminded of that saying from the US Civil War, “Whoever saw a dead cavalryman?” The unspoken answer was “Nobody.”

We could update that saying to, “Whoever listens to a moderate-Democrat?” The answer would remain the same.

They’ll roll over on that just like they did for health care. This is just PR.

Any Congressman who voted for Cap & Trade is either a Traitor or Simply Too Stupid to Hold Public Office.

THEY ALL MUST BE REMOVED! NO EXCEPTIONS.

Everyone should know by now, from the actions of the so-called “blue dogs” on this bill, that there is just no such creature as a “moderate” Democrat. There are only crafty ones and scared ones. They’d sell their souls to the Devil himself for a vote.

I can't believe that they are not in favor of this

Oh, but they are. Note that most of them are simply saying back off until *after* the elections. Then they will come back with it. They are like cancer.

Too late. We know what they are up to. I will not fight this fight or worry about it every year. They need to be conclusively gone from government. If there was ever a time to clean out the sewer, this is it.

I want Obama to have the longest “lame duck” period ever in a presidency - two years.

When you use the word “slimey” I think of slugs and snakes. I guess it is a fit description for the Democrat slimeballs.

Actually quite insulting to the slugs and snakes of the world!

there’s no such thing as a moderate or blue dog.

all it would take is the appropriate pay off.

in this case however, they might forgo cap and trade and make it some sacrificial lamb so the bigger and far further reaching health care passes.
