Why Does Interpol Need Immunity From American Law?

Good question about the issue of INTERPOL needing immunity from American law. This one probably escaped the notice of everyone except the most keenly aware. Count our friend Andrew McCarthy as one of those. McCarthy notes that President Reagan, in 1983, afforded protections to INTERPOL, much like those afforded Diplomats. But Reagan, understood that some protections needed to be withheld, and he did. Specifically, Interpol’s property and assets remained subject to search and seizure, and its archived records remained subject to public scrutiny under provisions like the Freedom of Information Act. Being constrained by the Fourth Amendment, FOIA, and other limitations of the Constitution and federal law that protect the liberty and privacy of Americans is what prevents law-enforcement and its controlling government authority from becoming tyrannical.

So, your local Law Enforcement needs to pay their Interpol dues and they can ignore the Constitution just like the big boys in Washington? Those nasty unintended consequences.

First “O” gives Interpol immunity, then the botched terror attempt, then Napolitano’s conflicting statements about “the system”. Napolitano should be FIRED. But, no, “O” has to talk about how BAD the system is (blame George here). I really think this all contrived to say we NEED Interpol on our shores...

Outside of Free Republic and aa few blogs (I saw Andrew McCarthy post about this on National Review), you can’t find this story anywhere - totally not news to the media.

Scary. Imagine if Bush, say in his effort to combat terrorism, had given any law enforcement agency full diplomatic immunity and ensured that they are unaccountable to Judicial branch? Think that would have been newsworthy?

Yep, it would be newsworthy under Bush!

Now we can have agent provacateurs from other nations incite violence domestically with no paper trail.

Once that violence starts, the war against international terrorism will become the war against domestic terrorism.

Little at a time.

Uncle Sugar’s control of the American citizen, one tiny step at a time.

You won’t find it in the media.

Again, InterPol’s presence over here is not to combat what we would call terrorism.

InterPol’s presence over here is for the purposing of snatching American citizens to be delivered to the International Criminal Court to be tried for war crimes.

Whrn will this happen? Just as soon as obama gets his ducks in a row [the logistics of his plans worked out] . He does not have them [it] yet,but he is rapidly getting there. Once his minions inform him that everything is in place, he will report this to his controller, probably Saudi Arabia and other leaders of the muslim world and await their orders. When they tell him to, then he will move [strike].

When will this happen? I don’t know, but, it will probably affected by the 2010 elections. If their intelligence people tell them that they have a good chance of winning in 2010, they will delay it. If they tell them that there is no chance of them pulling the election out of the bag, I believe that they will strike before the election.

Only someone who is in deep denial would think that, after coming as close as they are now to taking over a Country, they will give up their plans and dreams without a bloody fight because of the results of an election.

If their intelligence sources inform that they can influence the 2010 election through fraud and intimidation and pull it off [win]. They will pobably wait until obama’s second term to move. There are already moves in Congress to repeal the Amendment that limits individuals to two terms as President. But in the event that the Ameddment is not repealed, who will oppose him? To date, no one has opposed him as he rips, tears, and shreds, the Constitution. In fact, most of Congress, including both parties, have assisted him at one time or the other.

The above is only my opinion based on what I have seen, have heard. The only thing I know is that the people who put obama in power fully intend to take control of the United States and rule through obama.

There are limits (e.g. the constitution) to the what the FBI can do to keep surveillance on all the “right wing terrorists” in this country. FBI agents will not step over these limits, even if the administration asks/tells them to.

INTERPOL agents do not care so much about those limits.

See ECHELON for an example of how “we don’t do SIGINT on our citizens”, but we do allow other countries collect SIGINT on our citizens and pass it on to our government. I don’t think ECHELON was as huge as some people claim, but there was some effort to get around our domestic spying laws. And that was the first thing I thought of when I read this story.

Be afraid, be very afraid you could be roused at night and spirited out of the country LEGALLY! Is this how Hopenchange will begin the imposition? This ain’t France Interpol, come on down.

What about “LEFT wing” terrorists?

Since the days of Alger Hiss, the Democrat's dogma has been "There are no threats from the left, ever."

At first I was going to say the administration doesn’t care about left wing terrorists. But this immunity gives the administration leverage to get INTERPOL to investigate ANYONE who may cause problems for the administration. That even includes left wing congressmen who may not be on board with the president’s plans.

Requests from the president to the FBI to investigate a congressman will not go over well and be hard to deny when leaked. Suggestions to Interpol to dig up dirt on a congressman will likely be much easier to hide and deny.

The only reason for this is to allow for the arrest of Bush and Cheney and nothing will be done about it.
