>”We came out and there were six people around the car; one man was caressing the roof,” he said. “I think it means something special to people in Boulder because it has no emission and because it’s electric.”<

And those 6 people escaped from the mental asylum and the one giving a car a hug needs to be locked up again in the looney bin.

The MSM really likes to write puff pieces about guys who buy $100,000 on an impulse while going out to lunch.

See, all those greedy Wall St bankers with their million dollars bonuses -- those guys who are ruining the country -- they should all go out and buy electric cars with subsidies paid for by the taxpayers. Then the media would write nice stories about them, too.

So the middle class taxpayer of Colorado is going to give 43k to a rich Liberal to buy a car that still costs more than the middle class guy can afford to spend.
Whata deal!

“Green” cars, and tax credits for the very well to do who think $100,000 is a reasonable price to pay for a car they can drive around in while posing as environmentally responsible citizens. Colorado has lost its mind.

A true Tesla electric car should run on wireless electrical current, not a battery.

I think it means something special to people in Boulder because it has no emission and because it’s electric

And where does the electricity come from?

$42,000 tax credit? And let me guess here. Colorado probably isn’t running a budget surplus.

“I think it means something special to people in Boulder because it has no emission and because it’s electric.”<

And just where does that oh so clean electricity come from??
Public Service Company of Colorado and those coal fired generating plants come to mind.
Damn but Colorado has gone to hell in a hand basket in the years since I lived there.

Nah, as long as they’re hugging trees and cars and other inanimate objects they are safe. Just don’t let them get near a voting booth or public office.................
