Was Democrat Senator Max Baucus of Montana flagrantly drunk as he gave a speech several minutes long on the Senate floor last week? You know, plastered, sloshed, wasted, or the more proverbial...drunk-as-a-skunk?! According to a now-notorious video that Was Democrat Senator Max Baucus Drunk During His Senate Floor Speech? has spread like wildfire across the internet as well as the dedicated reporting of conservative bloggers, there sure seems to be a compelling case for Baucus' insobriety, indeed.

If he was drunk it was because Bush is a recovering alcoholic.

I heard something about a head injury a while back.

I figure it has something to do with dyslexia of the mind.

A US Senator flagrantly drunk on the senate floor.

No Way!

A US Senator whoring out for his vote.

No Way!

A US President getting polished in the Oval Office.

Hey...wait a second!

Duh. Just watch it. It shouldn’t be controversial. He was slurring and mentally blurred. If he were a regular guy (not a senator), got pulled over by a cop and talked like that, he’d be walking the white line and trying to touch his nose, unsuccessfully I suspect.

If he wasn’t drunk then, he was sober. I’d be pretty embarrassed to say that is the way I comport myself when sober. Either way not good. Not good at all.

Was Democrat Senator Max Baucus Drunk During His Senate Floor Speech?

Probably no more so than usual.

On earlier threads about this, several Freepers who are familiar with him say that perhaps he’s not drunk. Slurred speech, stuttering, confusion . . . that’s just his normal pattern of behavior.

If so, then that video is even scarier!

Anyone who doesn’t think Baucus was drunk needs to watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYusPRre07k

Either Baucus was drunk, or he was doing a darn good Foster Brooks imitation.

Lacking breathalyzer or blood test results, nobody can say for certain, but he sure looked drunk to me. If he wasn’t drunk, there was something else very wrong with him.

Surely Baucus can produce other video that supports his claim that he is rambling, slurring and incoherent when he is sober.

Someone should tell Max the Pounder the first step is admitting he has a problem. Denial never works.

Baucus has been getting by for years with nothing behind the facade. The facade has been removed and he has been exposed as a gasbag, liar, unfaithful husband, and empty suit. Did I say drunk?

The party of Ted Kennedy and drunk Dodd never seems to have to answer the questions about their morals. Scumbags the lot of them.

Nah, he wasn't drunk. Er, then again, maybe he was. Who can tell with these clowns? Just as likely that he is just a marble-mouthed moron, like 98% of the politicians in Congress. I don't think the House and Senate have ever contained a larger collection of utter buffoons and imbeciles as it has now.

The only reason Congress has even 21% approval is because at least 21% of those polled are at least as stupid and clueless as the politicians themselves.

Was he drunk? That should not be the question. Is he drunk with power? Ding! Ding! Get the wheel barrow.
