Imagine the mindset...
You’re a top banking official. You try to do the best by your son. At some point you have to acknowledge to yourself, that he has gone terribly wrong. You wrestle with the issue, and finally come to the conclusion that you must warn public officials. You contact the U.S. Embassy, and tell them your son is a terrible threat to their nation. You tell them that he has thrown in his lot with that of global terrorists. You urge them to take precautions.
You’re the guy’s father. You have had to sell him out due to your conscience screaming out not to let this happen. You do what you think is right.
And then your son is allowed to carry out an act of terrorism anyway.
What must this dad be thinking today? “I tried. I warned them. They took my information and ignored it. Why did I even bother?”
You know, this nation is stuck on stupid. Either we get out of this groove, or we’re doomed.
I’d love to blame Obama, and you know what, there are plenty of reasons why I think he should be condemned related to national security. In this instance, I’m not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that this guy couldn’t have accomplished the exact same act before January 21st, 2009.
We have come to the place where the authorities have deemed it reasoned that our wives can be seen naked by airport staff, and people from terrorist states are still welcome on airlines headed into the U.S.
The truth of this reveals what our once great nation has been reduced to. Both political parties have ushered in this time of trouble. Quite frankly, I’m sick of it.
