It’s pretty certain to go to conference since the House plans to modify it from what I’ve been reading. Given that, he has a chance to change his vote especially since reports today indicate funding for abortion will be in the final bill and everyone will be required to pay for it through taxes.
Still, he has to vote against cloture. Voting for cloture and then against the actual bill is the same as voting for the bill because cloture advances it into passability with 51 votes.
Roger that.
Purgatory???? That is too far generous. More like HELL !!!
A caller to a talk radio program today made an interesting point relating to Nelson and the other so-called Blue dog Dems. He said that Axelrod—one of those who is running the show for Obama—has a PR background. Just look at how he ran Obama’s campaign. The caller said he believes each Dem in an unsafe district was promised a chunk of money that they will use to flood radio and tv with ads during their election cycle. Most people don’t pay attention to what is going on, but will vote for the best “PR”—like they did with Obama. So that may have been part of the deal they made for their healthcare votes.
The payoff to this whore was not cheap and it is be charges to all tax payers weather they agree on not.
The end result is like a whore he got paid for his service and some of that money comes out of my pocket.
Do I feel sorry for him, not at all as he is a big boy who made his choice so now he will answer for it by those who put him in office.
I would like to see one of the states whose Senator voted for the bill in spite of the obvious disapproval of his or her constituents back home introduce proceedings to recall him or her, right now, without delay. One or two of those actions and the rest just might decide to reconsider their votes between now and when they get the reconciliation results.
I don’t know the details, but do know some states have the ability to recall their Senator(s).
That would put the fear of God in some of them!
