This is the deciding factor in the face of the folks that get bent out of shape over Sarah’s resignation. It stopped the financial bleeding of Alaska by these frivolous leftist jihadis, well, cold. Not only did it financially benefit Alaska, it also proved to the nation where her enemies were coming from. Their campaign WILL come back to bite them.

Frivolous ethics charges/sued into bankcruptcy by Democrat hacks?

So what happens next time she annoys some Democrat hacks? They sue, frivolously, and she quits, again? Like I keep tellin’ FR’s Sara-philes, I just ain’t impressed.

It proved that Governor Sarah Palin is bigger than any political hack because she does not regard any perquisite of office above the interests of her constituents.

Well said!

The only reason they got away with it in Alaska was due to the state laws. Most states have different laws that would not have allowed her to be sued to that point. That includes any office in the feds, including the office of President.

It is plain to see you have no idea what the F*** you are talking about. Don't let that stop you though, just keep on running your mouth and showing your total ignorance of what really went on in Alaska.

“Perhaps she could have remained in Alaska’s governorship & found an imaginative, effective way to turn up the heat on those who were trying to fry her.”

She could have; but she explained this properly. She said that she would be a distraction and a lame duck if she remained governor.

Imagine the outcry if she was on her book tour while governor. “She’s neglecting her elected job just to sell books” or “Who cares what she thinks about Barack Obama; her job right now is governor”

I remain puzzled by her decision to resign abruptly as the governor of Alaska.

Then I'd say that you need to do some more research.

Many of us remain puzzled by her decision to resign abruptly as the governor of Alaska. But her campaign for the 2012 presidency continues despite this misstep. ................................

ONLY arswipes saw her stepping down as a misstep!

I for one don’t care if you are impressed or not. I love Sarah and no idiot will change my mind. We get it that you don’t like her, but why do you keep raining on our parade? Could it be your chosen one is MITT or HUCK?

While each of the finalists was deserving, there can be only one man of the year — Sarah Palin. In the pantheon of people who stood up this year for that which is right, no one else stood taller or looked better.

Worth repeating !

“What the hell is the matter with these people? It can only be willful ignorance.”

If we include deliberately limiting one’s sources of information to those that present only the leftard take on any subject, then yes, it is.

No, next time she will be positioned to deal with it.

“Like I keep tellin’ FR’s Sara-philes, I just ain’t impressed”

Then you’re not paying attention.

Is that how the governor of a state best serves the people of that state? By using her time for personal business?

You really need to read her book, let us know when you do so you can object more clearly.

She made it pretty clear why she did it from the beginning, and since she did resign, she has done nothing but prove her decision to be the right one.

She's one of a handful of elected conservative politicians that has consistently come against Bambi and the dems, and has been the most effective of them all.

The “Sarah” part was very good but “John Boehner and Mitch McConnell”? These two were pathetic at best. We have got to get better leadership.

We were all shocked by it - but it wasn't a misstep.

It was not a retreat. It was, as Chesty Fuller put it, "an advance in a different direction."

It proved that Governor Sarah Palin is bigger than any political hack because she does not regard any perquisite of office above the interests of her constituents.
Let me add to your perceptive post:

1) Those who "remain puzzled" are willfully ignorant (there's another word for that, BTW) since SP explained. More than once.

2) Compare and contrast: Palin left office early because (among other things) her staying was costing Alaska lots of $$. She was thinking about the people of the state rather than herself.

Contrast with Teddy Kennedy (now sober three months) who stayed in office knowing he was dying of a brain tumor rather than announce his resignation three months from [DATE] and letting the process replace him. Selfish swine.

Odd thought: How many of these people who "remain puzzled" have a single word to say about Barack "present" zerObama who started running for president almost as soon as he hit the senate? Hmmmmmmm?

What a joke. Man of the year because she quit the Governorship?

Put this one right next to Obama’s.
