WASHINGTON -- A federal judge dismissed all charges yesterday against five private Blackwater security guards accused of killing unarmed Iraqi civilians in Baghdad in 2007.
The shooting left 17 Iraqis dead and inflamed anti-American sentiment abroad. The Iraqi government had wanted the guards to face trial in Iraq.
Judge Ricardo Urbina said the prosecutors ignored the advice of Justice Department officials and improperly built their case on sworn statements that had been given under a promise of immunity. Urbina said the government's explanations were "contradictory, unbelievable and lacking in credibility."

Good! We seem to have people in our government who are the enemies of the American people. I think they should be rooted out and exposed for what they are.

Which is how they prosecute (and convict) other Americans too!
Good to see these guys get some justice.

Amazing, I was fully expecting a legal lynching to toke place.
Hard to believe justice was actually served from the bench.

I guess I’ll be reading all about this on the front page of the AJC—NOT.

Well, if they were convicted it would be on the front page of EVERY paper and Breaking News on TV.
