Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) reached out Thursday evening to South Carolina GOP Attorney General Henry McMaster, the leader of a group of 13 Republican state attorneys general who are threatening to file suit against the Senate health care bill, and urged him to forgo any legal action, POLITICO has learned.
According to a copy of a memo sent by McMasters chief of staff to other GOP state attorneys general detailing the call, Nelson asked McMaster to call off the dogs, a reference to recent threats by the state AGs to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a Medicaid provision in the bill that benefits Nebraska at the expense of other states.

Call off the dogs? We’re just getting started, bozo. I hope the dogs are doberman’s as well, so they tear up the traitors to the american people real well. The real test will come with the upcoming elections, then we’ll see if there’s more “bite” vs. the bark to the citizen’s ire.

You have to be a disgustingy detached and arrogant poltician to tell an Attorney General to not do their job to check the constitutionality of something.
Listen Democrats...you have forever sunk to lows you will never escapefrom. You think you’re above the law,the constitution and the people. I will always resent the hell out of you liberals who have been busy destroying the fabric of this great nation. I will also be so ery happy when I retire from the military so I can run, effectively, against you where ever I can and set you back 100 years.

He can say what he wants. I for one am happy he is unhappy at the AG’s oversight and threat of lawsuit. The states have every right to investigate this, and other states have the right to file lawsuits over the constitutionality of this bill.

Nelson blew it by thinking that his little Medicare avoidance would be challenged. Who was it? Did Reid say, "hey vote our way and your State won't have to pay a dime?". Sure. It doesn't work that way. Nelson and Reid should've had the brains to realize that.
Bring on the legal challenges. Big surprise, Nelson.
To: GoCards
Yeah, kind of difficult to put that genie back in the bottle. That vote can't be retracted and because of it they only needed 51 votes to pass the bill.
I hope the stupid btard chokes on his vote for the rest of his miserable life.

Give it a rest Nelson, you phony. You sold out for a big time payoff and you (and WE) know it. Who do you think you’re kidding? What the senate has done is thoroughly unconstitutional. Of course, never having READ the document, you wouldn’t KNOW that!

They should prosecute with extreme prejudice. Nelson could end this by changing his vote. While we’re at it I’d love to see every crooked deal used to pass this POS exposed to the light of day.

all added expenses from expanding Medicaid to cover the uninsured in Nebraska starting in 2017 would be borne by the federal government forever, not split with the state as they are now.
Going after this backdoor deal should kill this whole thing. If you have to add everything you expected the states to pick up it should be a deal breaker.

The document goes on to say: Senator Nelson said it would be fixed by extending the Cornhusker Kickback (100% federal payment) on Medicaid to every state. And the Dims would still claim Obamacare would not increase the deficit, with all their lies and creative accounting.

Yep. Show what a rookie Clown Reid is. By telling Nelson that Nebraska wouldn't have to pay a dime, maybe he thought the other 49 States wouldn't notice.
Reid is an absolute fool and now Nelson is too. Putzes.

And Caesar’s spirit, raging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,

That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.
