I agree. I work for a university as support staff. The hiring process for a new professor takes days. The candidate is literally surrounded by department faculty except for when they sleep. There is no way around political ideology when you're constantly surrounded by the very people who will decide on your acceptance. Unless someone outright lies, I don't know how else they would get around it.

Don't get me wrong. If you were to reveal your conservative thoughts the discussion wouldn't end in gasps and a walkout, but I don't think one would get the job either.

It used to be on YouTube, but has apparently been pulled.

Here, I found it at Comedy Central.

They slithered back under the slimy rock from whence they came.

You are free to cheer for/ against whomever you wish but by rooting against the sports teams, you are punishing the wrong people. The athletes doubted the Lacrosse story from the beginning and took some heat for it (especially girls’ LAX). The student body was supportive of the LAX players, too, particularly when the truth started to come out.
Duke is not the faculty alone. It is the students, the athletes, and the alumni, too. Only one of four was closed minded about this incident...

Exactly. Mike Krzyzewski (did I spell that right?) is an example of an excellent leader who does a lot of good. There’s a reason he was selected to coach all those NBA personalities for the Olympics—he doesn’t suffer fools, and he’s a team-builder. He’s done a lot of good and does NOT deserve to be lumped in with these idiot “academics,” and I’m sure there are many others in the Duke athletics programs and student body who are not deserving of such scorn.
