She is a political novice seeking to unseat one of the most powerful Democrats in the United States Senate. But Linda McMahon does possess one big weapon: a vast personal fortune that she is already wielding to shake up the race.

Ms. McMahon has been saturating residents with television advertisements, pouring money into the campaigns of local elected officials and building a campaign organization that dwarfs its rivals.

"Weicker is on her advisory board ..."

What exactly is an "advisory board" when one is running for U.S. Senate? Since McMahon for Senate doesn't have such a thing, how can ol' Lowell be on it?

Isn’t Linda on record for giving campaign donations to the Looney Left?

She’s no Bachmann or Palin, she’s pro-choice, just think Snowe, Collins, Hutchinson, and Scozzafova, and you’ve got McMahon all from the same RINO mold. I’m sure Newt and the GOP establishment will be pulling for her too.

Congrats to all 40 senators including the RINO's who stood fast against that socialist monstrosity Health Care Reform bill which will cost us our health and taxes.

And how I wish there was just one more RINO in the senate and that bill would have been filibustered and failed! Now the Rats will force it down all our throats.

You make a good point. In some constituancies, unfortunately, a RINO is the only kind of Republican who can win and just one more of them would have been enough to stop that horrible health care bill from passing.

I agree with you about Rob Simmons. He’s the strongest general election nominee regardless of what you may hear from McMahon or Schiff supporters. He won several House terms in a Congressional district that leans Democratic in Presidential years by 10+ points. He lost his last race by less than 500 votes in the bloodbath of 2006. Bottom line, he can beat Dodd and win votes from Democrats and independents who want the incumbent out.
