Lighten up on the mooslims. They can’t win. Whadya want them to do...burn camels????? Then the PETA types would be upset.

The French like new cars ~ under the current economic conditions prices are at their lowest in years AND, best of all, there are incentives of all sort.
What is missing is lines of credit to finance those new cars.
However, you can supplement your loan with a nice downpayment if your car is totaled. French auto insurance will PAY what you need.
So, how do you get your car totaled? Simple ~ drive it to a Moslem suburb. They regularly torch cars from outside their areas for a small payment of, let's say, 25 EU, or maybe 50 EU.
These events frequently overlap traditional "youthful protest" dates ~ e.g. national holidays like NEW YEARS.
Burn baby burn ~ and the youth get paid, and the car owners get paid, and the claims adjusters DON'T HAVE TO INVESTIGATE things that happen in the Moslem suburbs, so no funny questions will be asked about how your car got burned.
That's the French system. Works for them if not for us.
The normal level of burning is about 100 cars per day, and on weekends and holidays it can jump to an average of 400 cars ~ but MORE ARE POSSIBLE when car prices are declining and there are deals to be made.

The French get some things wrong, but they get some things really right. Think nuclear power... think wine... think cheese... Several trips to France, including Paris, and I have yet to meet a rude Frenchman. And don't forget they supported our Revolution (I assume you are also an American). For which (in a sense) we subsequently repaid them by freeing them from the Nazis.
I say, "Vive le France!" (And yes, I probably said it wrong...)

This is simply the Frog version of “Cash for Clunkers”; they pre-burn the cars prior to trading them in for 4,000 francs.

Thanks, K! I don’t speak French, und mein Deutsch doesn’t get me very far there either. (Neither does Gaelic, which situation I don’t understand at all... *\;-)
Apparently this phenomenon of ‘’youths’’ must be something indigenous to France ,say, like an algae bloom or something. Perhaps a grant by the EU to some bunch of French scientists might get to the root cause of this ‘’youth’’ problem(sarcasm).
