The Jihad Decade Cometh
The American Thinker ^ | January 03, 2010 | Pamela Geller

As we look back on the past ten years, it is clear that we are now entering a post-American decade. How did it all go so wrong so quickly?

The year 2000 kicked off with the Democrat ruse of a "stolen election" -- this from the racketeering party of ACORN -- but thankfully, it was not stolen after all. George W. Bush took the reins, but soon thereafter came the culmination of all the Islamic attacks on the U.S. during the Clinton years. Islam's fatwa on the West during the Clinton administration came home to New York and Washington on September 11th.

And while the Bush Doctrine (you are either with us or against us) was the right approach, the well dressed jihadists that Islamists like Grover Norquist ushered into the White House after 9/11 managed to sabotage the best strategy to fight Islamic jihad. The cowboy swagger set against the whole fantasy about the hijacking of Islam and the "religion of peace" nonsense was irreconcilable. It confused people. And it led to the marginalization and even dismissals of brave men and women who evaluated and exposed the jihadist ideology in our government agencies.

The advancement of Islam would never have been possible -- could never have happened -- without our surrender to the Left. The real war is against the Leftist/Islamic alliance.

Yes! I also think we must be very vigilant to protect our Constitution and its position as the supreme law of the land. I think we're going to see lots of pushing for the acceptance of sharia as equal to it (and not just in Detroit, where I gather sharia is already privileged above our Constitution in some locations).

Our Constitution, hated by both the left and Islam, is the only protection we have left.

I still see either a serious revolution by the majority of non-leftists, or a serious civil war by the majority of non-leftists happening at some point in the future. There’s way too much anger by way too many people throughout the entire U.S. for such possibilities not to eventually happen in either the short-term future or the long-term future of this country.

your home page tells it like it is.....very frightening.
I am sorry to be such a prig, but anytime I see “loosing” for “losing” drives me nuts so I thought I would point it out........otherwise very well written.

No. Your constitution is worthless.

No law is better than the people who uphold and enforce it. Your constitution worked when you had people with a minimum of integrity as your judges and politicians. Nowadays..? It simply doesn’t matter much what a law says. What *people* say the law says is what counts.

Your struggle is the same as on this side of the pond: Finding and appointing people (as rulers, teachers, journalists etc) who are loyal to us and our ideals.

Our fight is not about budgets and legal paragraphs, it’s entirely about values.

“The real war is against the Leftist/Islamic alliance.”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2419714/posts

These idiots have no concept of the tried and trued sceme of the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” until that enemy is vanquished. Just goes to show just how stupid single issue alliances can be, not to mention those who enter into them. It never dawned on them they would never relish in a victory of the battle because they themselves are even more so the object of the war.

I guess the news reports of the public hangings of homosexuals in virtually all Islamic ruled countries is just make beleive?

True, but the leftist/gay crowd can still learn from experience:

http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2008/04/dutch-gays-turn-to-right.html

If the muslim violence against gays in particular and non-muslims in general was publicized the muslims would not find it so easy to find allies in the west. Without such a push from conservatives only personal experience can wake them up.

Agreed, but it is kind of hard to wake up when your head is on the other side of the room from your body was my point. But then again, what’s the difference of it being on the other side of the room or simply buried in the sand?

Good day Sir.

When the sand nazis come to trial in NYC they will attempt to turn the city into Beirut. If NYC goes up Detroit/Dearborn will go up and at long last the gloves will be off.

The difference is that the US Constitution is not, like the EU “Constitution” and many others, a compendium of laws aimed primarily at protecting the existence and privileges of the State.

It is short and relatively simple, and is based on principles (or values, you might say) that assert the primacy of the individual, based on his God-given nature, and thus mean that all laws based on the Constitution must protect not the State, but the individual.

The French Revolution and the American Revolution, while they may appear similar on a superficial level, were based on very different sets of values, and this is still true in the latter-day state successors of the French Revolution (among which, I would consider the EU).

My whole point is that we in the US have people who are working against our Constitution. Some of them are in the Left, and have been working against it for years, trying to relativize or diminish it; the newest threat is Islamic law. But the US Constitution is by no means worthless, and is our (and probably your) only hope for survival.

Somehow, the leftist elites always think they will be exempt from any of the negative consequences of the primitive ideologies they befriend.

Of course, it’s possible that they’re right. Homosexuality is widely practiced in Islamic countries, and the sexual use of young boys by men is an established custom and there is no objection to it in Islam. Being the “active” partner in homosexual acts is ok. And if you’re one of the elite (a mullah or simply from a wealthy family, many of which claim religious status because they are related to Mohammed), there’s certainly no penalty to you for anything you do. So maybe their assumption that their elite status will protect them is accurate after all.

Maybe a remedial lesson about assumptions is in order, especially on who dictates the pecking order of elites.

I agree. And while we’re fighting with each other, the jihadists will see a golden opportunity to make gains and cause chaos that wasn’t possible before. God help us.
