Press Releases

Embassy Closed in Response to Security Threat

The U.S. Embassy in Sana’a is closed today, January 3, 2010, in response to ongoing threats by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) to attack American interests in Yemen.

On December 31, the U.S. Embassy sent a warden message to Americans citizens in Yemen to remind them of the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against American citizens and interests throughout the world. The U.S. Embassy reminds U.S. citizens to maintain a high level of vigilance and to practice enhanced security awareness.

The eastern 3 provinces of Yemen have no government presence. Al Qaeda and the local tribes are one. This is bin Ladens home territory.

The terrorists are winning the psyops war.

The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize. Killing people and smashing things is a method, not the objective.

Yemen says reports on al-Qaeda exaggerated

[03/January/2010] Yemen News Agency (SABA):

SANA’A, Jan, 03 (Saba) - National Security head, Ali al-Anisi, affirmed that counter-terrorism is a national necessity that needs integral efforts of the state and society segments.

All what has been said about al-Qaeda in Yemen was exaggerated, he said, assuring that Yemen is not a safe haven for al-Qaeda militants

Yemen Times:

SANA’A, Dec. 30 — A Member of the Yemeni parliament Shawqi Al-Qadhi warned the U.S. on Tuesday against sending its troops to Yemen to fight Al-Qaeda, describing such action as “a disaster by all means.”

The warning comes while some senators argue that “Yemen will be tomorrow’s war” for the US.

“If the U.S insists on sending its troops to Yemen, the whole Yemeni people will turn to the Al-Qaeda,” said Al-Qadhi, who represents the opposition party, the JMP.

Therefore, it is where al qaeda is heading, the next war zone, and the people of Yemen want the idiots out. How have the people from Saddam Hussein’s home town been lately?

This is bin Ladens home territory.

Now wait a cotton-pickin' minute, here. All through the presidential campaign in '08, I remember Obama beating GW Bush over the head with the fact that he hadn't got bin Laden in more than 7 years of wars.

And I distinctly remember Obama practically swearing on his typical white granny's head, that when he became president, he was gonna stay focused on the real mission - he was gonna get bin Laden. Obama was gonna show us all how it was done.

Now, nearly a year into his term in office, bin Laden isn't caught, and he isn't dead? He's in control of al Qaida in Yemen?

Why isn't the MSM browbeating Obama about his campaign promise that remains unfulfilled?

I am about sick up-to-here with the lot of 'em.

Obama, Osama, and MSM.

~430K km2 for Iraq and ~530K km2 for Yemen. With colors being cased in Iraq and a new home of AQ just around the corner that our Saudi “friends” want chased away because they are incapable and unwilling of doing it themselves.

Hell no, let the Saud boys figure it out for themselves. They figured out how to screw the American public for decades, let them figure out this one too.

“Why isn’t the MSM browbeating Obama about his campaign promise that remains unfulfilled?”

So which promise do they begin with? Even the NYT is not big enough, and getting smaller everyday, to cover them all.

I know Obama has a gazillion promises unfulfilled, but I am speaking about his promise to show us how a real leader stops terrorists and "get bin Laden".

I know he's a candy-ass liar and a terrorist symp, and I know the MSM won't call him on his lies. My comments were mostly an angry cry in the darkness.

At least he didn’t promise the mother of all wars, a crushing defeat and all that jazz.

Sending troops isn’t the answer. That just gets the good guys killed, it drags on forever with nothing much accomplished, and is too expensive moneywise. We’ve been talking parking lot for how many years now and it’s high time every AQ stronghold was leveled.

I didn’t know what a “warden message” was, although the context made it easy to guess. Anyway, I looked it up. FYI for anyone else sharing my ignorance:

When did Al Qaeda become a terrorist organization in the eyes of the A$$ Clown and his inept and incompetent administration? I thought they were “man-made disaster” clubs...

Aeden was the first colonial stop on British Airways “east of Suez”

I don’t think it was a full fledged colony, but there was a strong British presence in proximity to the southern end of the Red Sea.

With the embassy closed maybe we won’t be able to issue any more visas to the terrorists there...just hoping.

As you say, Yemen is Osama's ancestral home. I also believe he is/was the top gun behind the panty bomber event and the CIA killings. Guessing he's got a mole and a good one in the CIA.

Yemen was an "old camp" circa 9-11. I also believe we were looking for him in this area at some point in time....maybe after bora bora??

LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE OUR INTELLIGENCE!!! WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!
