Brennan: Cheney may be 'ignorant' of terror facts

President Barack Obama's top counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, said Sunday that former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's approach to the Christmas Day terror attempt is misinformed or intentionally false.

"I'm disappointed. The vice president or others are either willfully mischaracterizing President Obama's actions or are ignorant of the facts," Brennan said on "Fox News Sunday." "I'm neither Republican nor Democrat. I've worked for five previous administrations.....[Obama] says we're at war with Al Qaeda. We're going to destroy Al Qaeda."

Cheney was spot on and Brennan knows it. Brennan even said that Obama still plans on sending Yemeni GITMO terrorist back to Yemen.

“May be”? No 100% certainty here, idiot?
What the heck is with all the uncertainty of this jack squat idiot-filled administration?

Brennan, get your crap together and do your frakin job instead of defending the failures of this lametard administration, opps, which you are apart of.

John Brennan is typical of the Obamanation Syndrome. CYA for everybody in administration. Napolitano was just a whoopsie, no foul. This guy makes me sick to know he is Deputy Chief of Intelligence or whatever. Fox should have given a Barf alert up front.

Perhaps Brennan follows the Rasmussen Polls:

"Just 27% now say that the United States is safer today than it was before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. However, 47% say it is not, That latter figure marks a nine-point jump from earlier in the month and is the highest negative finding on the question since Rasmussen Reports began surveying on it in 2002."

That statement almost made me spit on my keyboard.

Uh Huh. Cheney is ignorant of terrorism issues. Uh Huh. I suspect this is precisely the effect Brennan wanted.

As Ann Coulter opined, liberal love to tell lies, just for the sheer joy of seeing how much they can get away with.

Of course, it brings to mind that old adage: “If you want to piss off a conservative, tell them a lie. If you want to piss off a liberal, tell them the truth.”

[Obama] says we're at war with Al Qaeda. We're going to destroy Al Qaeda."

Errr, Mr. Brennan, didn't he say that after Mr. Cheney spoke up?

Could it be that the former Vice-President was urging the President to actually say such words?

"...I'm neither Republican nor Democrat. I've worked for five previous administrations..."

It means he's a liberal.

“Democrats’ worst nightmare: Terrorism on their watch”

TAGS: Barack Obama, Republicans, George W. Bush, Democrats, Terrorism, Osama Bin Laden, Sept. 11, Northwest Airlines

By BEN SMITH & CAROL E. LEE | 1/1/10 3:31 PM EST

SNIPPET: “From the time he launched his campaign for president three years ago, Barack Obama had to consider how he would react to the first serious act of terrorism during the campaign, or if he won, on his watch. His fellow Democrats had been thinking about the moment even longer - since the September day in 2001 when attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon defined George W. Bush’s presidency and gave Republicans a decisive advantage on a defining political issue.

And yet the White House’s response to last week’s attempt to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit could rank as one of the low points of the new president’s first year. Over the course of five days, Obama’s Obama’ reaction ranged from low-keyed to reassuring to, finally, a vow to find out what went wrong. The episode was a baffling, unforced error in presidential symbolism, hardly a small part of the presidency, and the moment at which yet another of the old political maxims that Obama had sought to transcend – the Democrats’ vulnerability on national security – reasserted itself.”

It is the staggering political incompetence of running a campaign against someone who isn’t running for anything that astonishes me.

Brennan?

The idiot who claimed there was no smoking gun?

I take it that the Obamabots prefer to pass on the “gun” and wait for the “smoking jet liner” until they take something seriously?

Now he’s barking at Cheney, so to take a worn out cliche from sports - “Brennan could hold Cheney’s jock!”

I suggest that this low-life take on a more worthy adversary next time, say Mickey Mouse?

Even though Bush made a mistake by sending them back ,Obama is willfully doing the same thing. What a mess.

I think Cheney’s got a pretty good idea of what’s going on. When the big eared Muslim president plays golf for three days after a near disaster over Detroit, who’re you gonna believe ?

So who are we to believe. The LIARS in office or the patriots who did everything in their power to keep us safe.

What a difficult choice.

NOT

Gee, I thought Brennan was supposed to prevent attacks. I guess not.

Umar did everything but put on a big red neon sign with an arrow pointing to himself. The Kenyan was asleep at the switch.
