The double standard in the media is amazing. The are stories running today about how horrible it is that the President went back to DC early.
He's been on vacation since 1/20/09, I thinks that's a little longer than 11 days, IMHO.
I thought he was coming back a day early.

I was also wondering about the length of this vacation. In the interest of both truth and curiosity, I’d like a comparison of this with other presidents.

I know a lot of people who go on vacation but they’re always on call in this age of easy communication.

MO must of been shopping..as I did not see her in a lot of the photo shots of the One and the kids, she was out of sight except for a couple of photos.. Hawaii has lots of sleeveless clothes to show off those fabulous arms of hers,

On one hand Obama likes to talk about how he faces the biggest challenges since “FDR”. Then he goes on a Hawaiin vacation, his second vacation in less than a year.
Just think if a Republican was in office and the economy was in total shambles, do you think they would get away with: flying chefs into DC, spending on lavish parties, taking wife to NY for date, flying luau’s to DC, golfing nonstop, spending 4 grand a night for a hotel, decadent trips to the Hampton’s/Martha’s vineyard, etc.
I think it’s turning even his milder supporters off. It’s disgusting. What a hypocrite. Share the wealth indeed.
